Week 17 of the NFL season is here! We’ve got a 14-game slate. Let’s dive in and see who will be the best plays at every position. How deep should we go? Do we keep it safe with the players that have a safer ceiling but a lower multiplier? Let’s find out.

Top Quarterbacks

Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs (1.05x Multiplier)

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs will be facing off against the Cincinnati Bengals. This game comes in with the second-highest total at 51 points. Mahomes is coming off of back-to-back three-touchdown games. In his past three games, he’s thrown eight touchdowns and just one interception. He’s playing like Patrick Mahomes again, and now he’ll Travis Kelce back on the field. A full Chiefs offense on the field makes Mahomes that much more dangerous coming into Week 17.

Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles (1.2x)

Jalen Hurts will look to continue the momentum for the Philadelphia Eagles as they play the Washington Football Team. Washington is currently giving up the most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks at 25.2 points per game. Hurts is coming off of a successful game against the New York Giants in which he threw for 199 yards and two touchdowns. Hurts recently saw Washington in Weel 15. He threw for 296 yards with one touchdown and one interception while adding on two rushing touchdowns. We may not get a similar performance, but the upside is there with Hurts’ rushing ability.

Top Running backs

David Montgomery, Chicago Bears (1.15x)

Since returning in Week 9, David Montgomery has quickly taken back control of the backfield. In the seven games since Week 9, Montgomery has only dropped below 15 carries and five targets three times. He gets to head into Week 17 with a great matchup against the New York Giants. New York is currently giving up 23.2 fantasy points per game to opposing running backs. What makes Montgomery even more dangerous is how Chicago utilizes him as a pass-catching back, giving him more upside.

Rashaad Penny, Seattle Seahawks (1.3x)

The Seattle Seahawks have had some running back identity issues this season. Rashaad Penny has been stepping up in recent weeks. Penny led the backfield the past three weeks in carries with 16, 11, and 17 carries. He’s scored a touchdown three times in the past three weeks while exceeding the 100-yard mark twice. The Seahawks will be facing the Detroit Lions, who currently give up the third-most fantasy points to running backs at 25.6 per game.

Top Wide Receivers

Hunter Renfrow, Las Vegas Raiders (1.35x)

The Las Vegas Raiders are hoping to stay alive this weekend to grab a playoff spot as they play the Indianapolis Colts. Hunter Renfrow will be the main factor in their offense. While his targets have decreased in the past two weeks, Renfrow has been a dominant player. He is averaging six receptions and 63.3 receiving yards per game with an 80.7% catch rate. He’ll be lining up across from Kenny Moore and will have the best matchup on the field. Another positive to this matchup is that the Colts have given up the second-most touchdown receptions this season.

Jaylen Waddle, Miami Dolphins (1.4x)

It’s time to run it back with Jaylen Waddle as the Miami Dolphins will be looking for their eighth straight win. Waddle now has three straight games of double-digit targets with 90 receiving yards or more. He’ll benefit from a date with the Tennessee Titans, who give up the second-most fantasy points to wide receivers. Waddle will be lining up across from Elijah Molden and have one of the top individual matchups on the slate. Doing most of his damage in the slot, he averages 85 receiving yards per game and 19.1 fantasy points.

Top Tight Ends

Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens (1.1x)

It may not matter who is under center for the Baltimore Ravens. Mark Andrews will dominate. In his past three games, Andrews has 29 receptions off of 34 targets, good for 376 receiving yards. He also had four touchdowns combined in those three games. This week’s game with Los Angeles Rams has the third-highest point total at 46.5 and will most likely become a shootout, giving Mark Andrews a greater chance of racking up fantasy points.

Dawson Knox, Buffalo Bills (1.45x)

There are many great options at the tight end position and Dawson Knox may be one of the most overlooked. He spent last Sunday as the only active tight end and will be the main focus at the position once again for the Buffalo Bills. Knox has led all Bills tight ends in targets since Week 10. While he did have a low-production game last week with just 11 receiving yards, he was able to find the end zone once again. He’s averaging 3.5 receptions and 41.4 receiving yards per game with a 72% catch rate on the season.
