SuperBowl DFS Picks – FTN x SuperDraft

The Super Bowl finally arrives Sunday, and we get an amazing showdown DFS slate on SuperDraft. Below are my top three plays for the slate.

Cooper Kupp, WR, Los Angeles Rams (1.5x Champion | 1x score multiplier)

Kupp is by far the best receiver and offensive player on the field for the Super Bowl. While he was held in the Wild Card Round to just 61 receiving yards, he has quickly turned it back on. He had nine receptions for 183 receiving yards with a touchdown against Tampa Bay, then dominated the San Francisco 49ers to the tune of 11 receptions for 142 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He now has the best matchup in the Super Bowl lining up across from Mike Hilton. Hilton allows near 13.4 fantasy points per game against receivers lining up in the slot. That’s where Kupp has spent 67% of his plays. It just may be too easy for him.

Joe Mixon, RB, Cincinnati Bengals (1.8x | 1.2x)

Mixon may be in line for a lot of work. Joe Burrow has been one of the most sacked quarterbacks this season. Now facing the Los Angeles Rams, short passes and checkdowns may happen. We expect Ja’Marr Chase to be heavily targeted in the passing game, but Mixon has been getting targets. In the playoffs, Burrow has targeted him 15 times. He has caught 13 of them for 106 receiving yards. On top of that, we already know how deadly Mixon is in the run game. He is coming off 21 carries for 88 rushing yards agaomst Kansas City. While that game came down to the wire, any lead the Bengals may get this Sunday, they’ll want to utilize the clock and have Joe Mixon kill as much time as he possibly can.

Odell Beckham Jr., WR, Los Angeles Rams (2.35x | 1.55x)

Beckham may be my favorite wide receiver on the slate and overall for the Super Bowl. He has been the second-most targeted receiver for the Rams in the playoffs behind Kupp. He had a 22% target share in the Wild Card and Divisional Rounds. In the Conference Championship, that jumped to 26%. He put up 113 receiving yards on nine receptions against the 49ers, scoring 17.8 SuperDraft points. With his matchup versus Chidobe Awuzie, if Beckham lineups on the right side, he could have a day, as Awuzie gives up on average 58.7 receiving yards and 13 fantasy points per game.
