Week 17 of the NFL season wraps up Monday. We had a nice 11-game main DFS slate on SuperDraft Sunday to break down. Now it’s time to recap our top plays to see who succeeded and who didn’t.

Quarterbacks

Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs (1.05x score multiplier)

Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs lost 34-31 on the final drive as the Bengals left no time on the clock. Mahomes was efficient overall though, as he completed 26 of his 35 pass attempts. With a passer rating of 113.9, he finished with 259 passing yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. He was also able to add 25 rushing yards on just two rushes.

Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles (1.2x)

The Eagles started out slow, and it stayed that way for Hurts. The Eagles’ offense focused on its effective running game Sunday. Boston Scott finished with 47 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while Hurts rushed for 44 himself. He was efficient as a passer, completing 17 of 26 attempts for 214 yards but no touchdowns.

Running Backs

David Montgomery, Chicago Bears (1.15x)

Hello David Montgomery! The Bears had their way with the New York Giants, and Montgomery was a big part of it. He carried the football 22 times for 64 rushing yards and two touchdowns. He wasn’t as involved with the passing game, with only two receptions for 17 yards, but the ground game was plenty.

Rashaad Penny, Seattle Seahawks (1.3x)

Penny is heading into free agency in the best stretch of his career. Penny had already scored twice before halftime and finished the game with 170 rushing yards, two touchdowns and 15 receiving yards. He was a top play for the slate, finishing with 43.55 fantasy points with 9.4% ownership.

Wide Receivers

Hunter, Renfrow, Las Vegas Raiders (1.35x)

Renfrow was back in front for the Las Vegas Raiders after two disappointing weeks. He had 9 targets, second on the team behind Zay Jones, and finished with seven receptions for 76 receiving yards. He was also the only wide receiver with a touchdown for the Raiders. Renfrow finished with 23.09 fantasy points and had low ownership at 6.7%.

Jaylen Waddle, Miami Dolphins (1.4x)

Chasing Waddle was not the route to take this week. After a 10-reception game for 92 receiving yards a week ago, Waddle was almost non-existent this time around. He was still tied for the second-most targets for the Miami Dolphins with seven, but he only reeled in three receptions. He finished with 47 receiving yards and wasn’t able to find the end zone.

Tight Ends

Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens (1.1x)

Andrews made Ravens history in their loss to the Los Angeles Rams Sunday. Andrews wasn’t targeted as heavily as we expected as he had just six on the day, trailing behind Rashod Bateman (10) and Marquise Brown (8). He finished with six receptions for 89 receiving yards, breaking Michael Jackson’s Ravens single-season receiving yard record with 1,276 on the season.

Dawson Knox, Buffalo Bills (1.45x)

Knox put up a goose-egg in the Bills 29-15 victory over the Falcons, 29-15. Knox was one of the four players with targets for the Bills but didn’t catch one. The Bills had their way on the ground however, as Josh Allen and Devin Singletary each had two rushing touchdowns and combined for a total of 38 rushes.

Top Plays

We already discussed one top play of the slate, with Rashaad Penny racking up 43.55 fantasy points at just a 9.4% roster percentage. There were two other top plays on the slate who also had very low rostership. Boston Scott had 47 rushing yards and two scores, plus four receptions for 39 yards, at just 3% rostership. That was good for 38.42 fantasy points. And less surprising was the Bengals’ Ja’Marr Chase, who caught 11 of his 12 targets for 266 yards and three scores, finishing with 59.92 fantasy points and at low roster percentage of 7.5%.
