The Week 9 SuperDraft slate is in the books, and while we had some strong plays, there were a few disappointing and non-productive players. Let us review our Sunday plays and start preparing for Week 109 of the NFL.
Top Quarterbacks
Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles (1.25x)
What a battle fans watched as Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles faced off against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 9. Hurts had another anemic passing game, as he completed 11 of his 17 passes for 162 yards with one passing touchdown. He was able to do some damage running, as he had 62 rushing yards to finish the game.
Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers (1.85x)
Somewhat of a spoiled debut for Jordan Love, but the young quarterback did all that he could in what became a low-scoring game. He completed just 19 of his 34 passes for 190 yards with one touchdown and one interception. While he has some mobility, he only ran for 23 yards. Not the huge game we all expected against a struggling Kansas City Chiefs defense, but there is some promise for Love in the future.
Top Running Backs
Aaron Jones, Green Bay Packers (1.05x)
Another performance that was spoiled when we expected a huge game. Aaron Jones was pretty non-existent Sunday, as he finished with just 53 rushing yards on 12 carries. What hurt Jones was no passes thrown his way from Jordan Love.
Devontae Booker, New York Giants (1.5x)
The New York Giants have some luck on their side as Devontae Booker has been performing well in place of Saquon Barkley. He did miss out on the 100-yard rushing mark Sunday but rushed for 99 yards on 21 carries while adding on 23 receiving yards. The downside was that he just didn’t find the end zone. The Giants defense is the main reason they won this game, while Evan Engram had the sole offensive touchdown for the G-Men.
Top Wide Receivers
Ja’Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals (1.5x)
Adding on to the spoiled performances of Sunday, Ja’Marr Chase was drinking whatever water was going around. While the Cleveland Browns had their way (post OBJ) versus the Bengals, Chase only ended with 49 receiving yards on six receptions. This Bengals offense is usually clicking on all cylinders, and I won’t be scared to run it back with Chase every chance I get.
Brandon Aiyuk, San Francisco 49ers (1.5x)
This is one play I’m content with, but it should have been one we celebrated. Brandon Aiyuk finished the horrible Sunday versus the Arizona Cardinals with 89 receiving yards on six receptions with one touchdown. Aiyuk should have had two, though, as he fumbled in the first quarter on a promising play.
Top Tight Ends
Dalton Schultz, Dallas Cowboys (1.65x)
Following the pattern of the day, Dalton Schultz and the Dallas Cowboys struggled on offense versus the Denver Broncos. While Schultz didn’t find the end zone, he led the Cowboys in the receiving game with 54 yards on four receptions. The Cowboys were behind quickly, and the struggles just continued for them all game long.
Zach Ertz, Arizona Cardinals (1.7x)
The Arizona Cardinals turned into the James Conner show versus the San Francisco 49ers, which didn’t leave much room for Zach Ertz to participate. He had three receptions for 27 receiving yards. Even just one score from Ertz with that statline would have paid off with his 1.7x multiplier, but Conner wanted to be the selfish bulldog of Football Sunday.
