As anticipated, Week 7’s Monday Night Football game was rather unentertaining, finishing with 23 total points and providing little overall value for viewers.
Below are my top-three plays for Week 7’s Monday Night Football slate and how they ended up on SuperDraft DFS.
Alex Collins, RB, Seattle Seahawks (1.55x score multiplier)
Coming into the game, it could’ve been predicted that Collins would have some difficulties producing, as the Saints are one of the better run defenses in the league, but his performance against the Steelers (20 rushing attempts for 101 yards) led us to think otherwise. The former thought that sentence would prove to be accurate, as Collins struggled on his 16 totes, only logging 35 yards and never breaking a run longer than six yards on the night.
He was able to add a nine-yard reception, but being held out of the end zone didn’t help his fantasy outlook. Finishing with 4.9 fantasy points, his multiplier took him to 7.56 fantasy points, an extremely forgettable score.
Jameis Winston, QB, New Orleans Saints (1.15x)
Winston had a fine game by the standards set for him this season, as he only had to throw the ball 35 times for the Saints to pull off a win.
He completed 19 of those 35 passes for 222 yards and a touchdown while also flashing some upside on the ground, running eight times for 40 yards, highlighted by an 18-yard run. He avoided turning the ball over, only helping his output here, as he finished with 16.88 points (19.41 with his 15% score boost). This was more than enough in a game of this nature to find himself in a winning lineup on SuperDraft DFS.
Marquez Callaway, WR, New Orleans Saints (1.7x)
Unfortunately, Callaway was not the recipient of Winston’s sole passing touchdown, so without scoring, his upside was capped. Callaway led all wide receivers in this game in targets (7) but ended up behind Alvin Kamara in terms of targets (11), yards (128 to 36), and receptions (10 to 3) for the Saints. Callaway was certainly not an anchor for winning lineups, finishing with just 8.67 points after his 1.7x-multiplier. .
Champion Rankings:
1. Alvin Kamara (43.35 champion multiplier)
2. Alex Collins (11.52)
3. Jameis Winston (29.54)
4. Marquez Callaway (13.01)
5. Geno Smith (24.35)
