We are putting Week 4 in the books and we had some strong plays after the Sunday slate. So let us recap the players we pointed out and see how they did.

Top Quarterbacks

Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams (1.25x)

This one went the opposite route and it was the Arizona Cardinals showcasing what they can do. For Stafford, he didn’t have a horrible game but the team wasn’t as productive. He threw for 280 yards off of 28 passes with two touchdowns and one interception. This may be a “down” game but Matthew Stafford will remain in play every Sunday.

Sam Darnold, Carolina Panthers (1.6x)

Sam Darnold had a confusing day when you look at the stats on paper. While he did throw for 301 yards, he matched his two touchdowns with two interceptions. He also was the only scorer rushing for the Panthers as he found the endzone twice. He did what we needed him to do but made sure there was some ugliness with it.

Top Running Backs

Derrick Henry, Tennessee Titans (1x)

I don’t think there will ever be a week where Derrick Henry isn’t in play. While he was the main focus for this offense, he made things work. He had 33 carries for 157 rushing yards but only found the endzone once. Now, for this Titans offense that had no Julio Jones or A.J. Brown, Tannehill made use of everyone and Henry only had two receptions for 20 yards. While it wasn’t the full script for Derrick Henry, his running will always be a problem for opposing defenses.

Saquon Barkley, New York Giants (1.4x)

What a day for Saquon Barkley, as he found the end zone twice and one of those being the winner in overtime. Now, he only carried the rock 13 times but rushed for 52 yards with one touchdown. He was utilized nicely in the passing game also as he had five receptions for 74 yards with a touchdown. If this Giants offense is without some of its top weapons, Saquon Barkley will remain in play.

Top Wide Receivers

DJ Moore, Carolina Panthers (1.4x)

With a match-up that we noticed before the slate due to the FTNFantasy WR/CB Matchup tool, Moore had himself a day. He was the leader of the receiving core as he had eight receptions for 113 yards with two touchdowns. While Dallas did make this a game that was out of reach, we knew the Panthers would be playing catch up which made Moore a prime candidate.

Terry McLaurin, Washington Football Team (1.35x)

We knew that “Scary Terry” would be in play with a match-up that leaned his way heavily and he did not disappoint. While the game remained close all four quarters, McLaurin was one of Taylor Heinicke’s favorite targets. He had six receptions for 123 yards with two touchdowns. He averaged 20.5 yards per catch! Both he and DJ Moore made this an easy choice at the wide receiver position.

Top Tight Ends

Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons (1.6x)

There was enough love to be spread around in this Atlanta Falcons and Washington Football Team game but Pitts was not one who could find the endzone. His teammate Cordarrelle Patterson did majority of the work out of the receiving core. For Pitts, he had four receptions for just 50 yards which led to another mediocre outing for the young rookie. I still have full confidence that he will be doing damage before the season ends but it will be a bumpy ride.

Robert Tonyan, Green Bay Packers (1.5x)

With a match-up that looked good for Robert Tonyan ended in disappointment. It turned into the Randall Cobb show for the offense and Tonyan had no part in it. He had two small receptions for just eight yards and nothing more. This Green Bay Packers offense is a tricky one as Aaron Rodgers can choose any one player and let them shine for the day.
