We are gearing up for Week 3 of the NFL season and have some great matchups. With some solid spots to attack in DFS, we also have some stacks that can pay off pretty well due to the game situation.

Let’s dive in and prepare for Week 3.

Top quarterbacks

Justin Fields, Chicago Bears (1.7x score multiplier)

Everyone finally gets to see what Fields can do as he will be starting under center against the Cleveland Browns. He is a dual-threat quarterback and could find success here. We saw Patrick Mahomes go for over 300 yards in Week 1 with three touchdowns, while Tyrod Taylor found success before exiting the game with an injury last week.

Kyler Murray, Arizona Cardinals (1x)

It’s hard for me to pass up Murray, who has started the season hot once again. In Week 1, Murray threw for 289 yards with four touchdowns and one interception, then followed that up in Week 2 with 400 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. The downside coming into this week against Jacksonville is that he may be without DeAndre Hopkins. Murray still has Rondale Moore and Christian Kirk, though, which should be more than enough for the quarterback.

Top running backs

Najee Harris, Pittsburgh Steelers (1.4x)

I’m running it back with the rookie once again, as the usage is there. In Week 1, Harris played in 100% of the snaps, and he followed that up in Week 2 by playing in 97%. Now, Cincinnati is only allowing 95 rushing yards per game to opposing running backs, but Harris is also used in the passing game as he was targeted three times Week 1 and targeted five times in Week 2 with 100% catch rate. With a running back who is utilized in both aspects of the offense, it’s hard to pass up on him.

Saquon Barkley, New York Giants (1.35x)

I am a huge fan of Barkley this week. The Giants are in a great game situation against the Falcons. The Atlanta Falcons are getting beat up in every way possible so far to start the season. They are allowing 127.5 rushing yards per game. Barkley has gone from a 48% snap count to 84% snap count within the first two weeks and this could be his breakout spot. The ownership may be high on him as many believe this could be the spot for him to do it, so watch the exposure to him if going multiple lineups.

Top wide receivers

Darnell Mooney, Chicago Bears (1.7x)

If Mooney is officially active, I want him in all of my Justin Fields lineups. Fields has looked his way previously and the connection may be a popular one versus the Cleveland Browns. The rookie has yet to find the end zone but was targeted eight times last week with six receptions for 66 yards. If he is targeted near the same amount with a score, this 1.7x multiplier is juicy. Now, if Mooney is ruled out before the game, Allen Robinson would be my next option.

Sterling Shepard, New York Giants (1.4x)

Shepard has an amazing matchup against Atlanta this weekend and could make for a juicy New York Giants stack. In Week 1, Shepard was targeted nine times with 113 receiving yards and a touchdown. He followed it up in Week 2 with ten targets for 94 receiving yards and is becoming a favorite of Daniel Jones. He is in a prime spot, no matter where he lines up, to have close to another 10-target day with at least a score as this Atlanta defense keeps getting beat up.

Top tight ends

Tyler Higbee, Los Angeles Rams (1.65x)

In what should be a shootout between Tom Brady and Matthew Stafford, Higbee should have a big Sunday. He is coming off a quiet game against the Colts, as he just had one target for 8 yards. The Buccaneers have yet to allow a tight end to find the end zone, but they have allowed the position to rack up the yards. The Bucs gave up 65 yards in Week 1 to the position, then 88 in Week 2. With the Rams’ solid offense, Higbee could be the first tight end to find the end zone against the Buccaneers this year.

Darren Waller, Las Vegas Raiders (1.3x)

Give me Waller any week and any time his multiplier is higher than 1x. He is coming off a very underwhelming performance against the Steelers and now gets the Dolphins. I expect Waller to get back to double-digit targets Sunday and will be surprised if the Raiders don’t beat up on the Dolphins. Buffalo’s tight ends didn’t really do a lot of damage against the Dolphins last week, but they did find the end zone. Week 1, Mac Jones and the Patriots had better success, with tight ends totaling 77 yards on 8 targets. This could be a good weekend for the tight end position, and Waller is one of my favorites to use.
