Week 15 of the NFL season is wrapping up. We had a nice nine-game DFS amin slate Sunday on SuperDraft to break down. Let’s take a look at our top plays to see who succeeded and who didn’t.
Quarterbacks
Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys (1.15x score multiplier)
Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys played slow and somewhat flat. Prescott completed 28 of his 37 attempts with one touchdown and 217 passing yards. He has put together some underwhelming performances lately, so fantasy managers need to be wary of him the rest of the way.
Jimmy Garoppolo, San Francisco 49ers (1.5x)
Garoppolo was efficient once again as the 49ers faced the Falcons. Garoppolo completed 18 of his 23 pass attempts. He finished with 235 passing yards with one touchdown, to Jauan Jennings. This 49ers’ offense showed another hand as three of four scores come by the run game with Jeff Wilson, Deebo Samuel and Kyle Juszczyk.
Running Backs
James Robinson, Jacksonville Jaguars (1.3x)
Robinson had a strong day, which many expected. He had 18 carries for 75 rushing yards and one touchdown and added 13 receiving yards on 3 receptions. The Jacksonville Jaguars did design plays for Trevor Lawrence, Laviska Shenault and Dare Ogunbowale in the run game, but full responsibilities fell to Robinson. Chalk isn’t always good, but Robinson produced Sunday.
Myles Gaskin, Miami Dolphins (1.55x)
In a decent surprise, Duke Johnson outcarried and outshined Gaskin. We expect any running back to punish the New York Jets, and that is what happened, but Gaskin carried the football just 10 times for just 54 yards. He also had no targets on the day, which added more pain. On the other hand, Johnson had 22 carries for 107 rushing yards with two touchdowns. A productive Dolphin back is what we expected but not with the player we hoped for.
Wide Receivers
Deebo Samuel, San Francisco 49ers (1.15x)
The Swiss Army knife known did work in both aspects of the game. The 49ers utilized Samuel in the run and pass game, and he found success against the Falcons defense. He finished third in targets with five on the night. He finished with four receptions for 60 yards. On the ground, he finished with six carries for 29 yards with one rushing touchdown.
CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys (1.3x)
Lamb was a victim to the slow Dallas offense. He led the offense in targets with nine on the day. He finished the game with six receptions for 50 receiving yards. Unfortunately, he was held out of the end zone, as Dalton Schultz was the only Cowboy with a receiving touchdown on the day.
Tight Ends
George Kittle, San Francisco 49ers (1x)
Kittle did not find the end zone this time, but he was once again dominant. He caught all six of his targets and finished the day with 93 receiving yards. The passing game was there for the 49ers but only to set up the run game to finish off drives.
Noah Fant, Denver Broncos (1.4x)
The Broncos had a slow start to their game, not scoring until the second quarter. He caught five of his six targets, his fifth straight game catching all but one of his targets or better. He wasn’t able to find the end zone but finished with 57 receiving yards. Teddy Bridgewater did go down mid-game, and Drew Lock stepped in.
Top Plays
There were three huge plays on the slate that made their way as optimal plays. To start off, Brandin Cooks had a huge game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He recorded seven receptions for 102 receiving yards while adding on two touchdowns. Next up was Tyler Huntley filling in for Lamar Jackson. In his second career start, he did his best to outshine Aaron Rodgers. He completed 28 of his 40 passes, throwing for 215 yards with two touchdowns. Not only that, but he added 73 rushing yards and found the end zone twice on the ground. It was a dominant performance by the second-year quarterback. Staying in the same game, Huntley made Mark Andrews his favorite target and the third top play of the slate. Andrews finished with 10 receptions on 13 targets for 136 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
