After a packed Wednesday slate around baseball, I’m back for my weekly MLB SuperDraft recap. Tuesday, I analyzed the slate and gave my top two pitchers and some of my favorite hitters of the night. I will be doing those articles each Tuesday along with this recap each Wednesday, so be sure to check those out as well as all other FTN-related SuperDraft content.
In this article, I’ll be recapping what happened last night and reviewing how the picks and plays did. It was a rather exciting night of games with plenty of runs and a few solid pitching options.
Let’s take a look at how we did last night.
Blake Snell was one of the top pitchers of the night thanks to a 1.75x multiplier as he struck out 11 hitters in seven innings and once again flirted with a no-hitter on his way to a 53.38-fantasy-point performance.
Zac Gallen wasn’t as exciting as Snell as he gave up three runs, but he did strike out 8 hitters in 6.2 IP.
Brandon Belt got off to a hot start with an RBI double in the first inning on his way to 16.1 fantasy points. Not necessarily groundbreaking, but certainly got the job done.
Lamonte Wade turned out a strong 21.45-point performance as he reached base three times and scored twice in combination with a late-inning double. Overall, the Giants bats were definitely the place to go as they scored 12 runs in Coors Field.
Salvador Pérez got high praise from me last night but didn’t quite come through, as he produced just 6.08 fantasy points.
Overall, the core of our pitchers and Giants bats was a successful path to take, but potential MVP Salvador Pérez did let us down a bit.
