The MLB season has finally reached its conclusion after the Braves’ Game 6 win in Houston to finish off the World Series. Congratulations to Atlanta on winning their first World Series since 1995. Let’s check out how we did on SuperDraft Tuesday, starting with the players I had my eye on most.

Pitchers

Fading Luis García went exactly as planned, as he pitched just 2.2 innings, allowing 3 earned runs and getting 3 strikeouts. His 1.4x mulitplier helped him total 5.35 fantasy points. Max Fried on the other hand was terrific, attacking the zone and getting ahead of the Astros hitters. He pitched six scoreless innings, allowing just four hits and no walks while striking out six. With his strong performance was a disappointing 1x multiplier, so he totaled 27 fantasy points unless you played him as a Champion, in which case he would have scored 40.50 points. However, he was not the optimal choice at Champion as some hitters had higher-scoring days.

Hitters

One of those hitters who was a better choice at Champion was Freddie Freeman. I mentioned I liked him as a Champion, and he did not disappoint. He delivered an RBI double in the fifth and a solo home run in the seventh. His 1.35x multiplier at Superflex was good enough for 27.68 points or 42.02 at Champion with a 2.05x multiplier. My other favorite Braves hitter was Eddie Rosario. He was able to walk and score on the mammoth blast by Jorge Soler. Unfortunately, that was all Rosario produced at the plate to score 7.42 fantasy points. The Astros really disappointed, tallying just six hits while working no walks and striking out 10 times. Yuli Gurriel and Kyle Tucker combined to go hitless in seven at-bats with two strikeouts.

Slate Overview

Unfortunately, Fried pitched much better than I expected, which directly correlated with my Astros offensive picks going hitless. However, fading García went as predicted, so I’m happy about that. Freeman was fantastic per usual while Rosario at least did not give us a goose egg. Soler took home the World Series MVP and was the optimal choice at the Champion spot scoring a whopping 57.60 fantasy points thanks to a 2.4x multiplier and the huge three-run home run he crushed off Garcia. It was a great baseball season that wrapped up with a very entertaining postseason. Thanks for reading my picks this baseball season, and good luck on SuperDraft with all the other sports.
