We had a five-game NBA DFS slate on SuperDraft Thursday. Let’s take a look back on our top recommendations on the slate and see how they fared.
Ja Morant, Memphis Grizzlies (Point Guard | 1.1x Score Multiplier)
Morant was a man on a mission Thursday night. In a solid victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves, Morant barely missed out on a triple-double. In 32 minutes, he dropped 16 points with nine assists and eight rebounds. If it wasn’t for his struggles trying to shoot threes (0-for-7), Morant would have been one of the top players of the slate.
Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets (Center | 1x)
The Nuggets made it look too easy against the Trail Blazers. They won in dominating fashion winning 140-108. Jokic had a relaxing night as he played under 30 minutes, the second-most playing time behind Jeff Green. Jokic did finish with 20 points but wasn’t as dominant as we expected due to the blowout. He also added on eight rebounds and seven assists.
Terance Mann, Los Angeles Clippers (Shooting Guard | 1.7x)
It was a night of struggles for the Clippers. They were stomped on by the New Orleans Pelicans, losing 113-89. Mann benefited from the blowout though, as he had 31 minutes of court time. He ended up being one of the top performers for the Clippers, but it still wasn’t enough. He finished with 15 points, four rebounds, and one assist. The guard was close to finishing with what we expected at his 1.7x multiplier.
Best Plays of the Slate
Is it shocking that Giannis Antetokounmpo topped the slate even when facing the Golden State Warriors? Scoring a point per minute for 30 minutes, Antetokounmpo finished with 30 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists. The Greek Freak proved that, once again, no one can really contain him. Following close behind him was Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Nearing a triple-double, Gilgeous-Alexander put up 33 points with 10 rebounds and nine assists. He also added on two blocks and one steal on the defensive end, boosting his overall fantasy point production. The final top play of the night and coming off the bench was John Konchar. Konchar logged 30 minutes Thursday night and he made sure to take every chance with that opportunity. The shooting guard finished with 15 points and 17 rebounds, securing the double-double bonus. He added on three assists to boot.
