Connor was underwhelming from a dfs perspective last night in the 11/11 NHL DFS Picks

Thursday was another busy day in the NHL, as 22 teams were in action. We saw seven underdogs pull off the upset, which isn’t rare in the NHL, but there certainly were a few surprising results.

Let’s recap our top plays on SuperDraft and see where we could have done better in DFS.

Top Plays

Centers

As I mentioned Thursday, you should always have some exposure to Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid each time the Oilers are in action, but I gave two other center plays. Aleksander Barkov and Anze Kopitar both found the back of the net. The Kings took care of a depleted Senators team, but I was looking for a bit more from Los Angeles.

Kopitar scored one of the Kings’ two goals, and it came on the power play. He only had one shot in the game, though, which just wasn’t good enough. The Kings take their seven-game winning streak to Winnipeg to take on the Jets Saturday. They’re playing great hockey, but they’ve only scored more than three goals in two of those seven wins. Maybe we fade them until they start scoring more goals.

Barkov scored his ninth goal of the season in a 3-2 loss in Pittsburgh. It was his seventh goal in his past six games. Barkov has 15 points on the season and 10 over his current eight-game point streak. He has at least three shots on goal in seven of those eight games. He’ll remain a good option on SuperDraft if they continue to hang a 1.45x multiplier.

Wing

Kyle Connor scored a goal on four shots, but he didn’t come with a big multiplier, so we needed more from him as well. He has goals in back-to-back games and 10 on the season. He’s going to be a strong play regardless of the matchup and multiplier as he’s racked up 18 points through 13 games. He ranks inside the top three in goals, shots and shot attempts this season.
