SuperDraft is one of the hottest platforms in the market for DFS players. SuperDraft offers a unique twist on your traditional DFS experience with game modes like “Multiplier” and “Super 15.”
This article will focus on daily plays from SuperDraft’s exclusive Multiplier game mode. By eliminating the traditional salary cap structure and providing a points multiplier for every player on the slate, there is almost limitless flexibility when building lineups on SuperDraft. You can load up on all the studs, but their point multipliers will be low. You can balance those plays out with some long shots that could score up to 2x their fantasy points to vault you to the top of the leaderboards.
As always with NBA DFS, make sure that you are on top of any late breaking injury news and starting lineup changes. With eight games on tonight’s NBA slate, let’s get into some of the Multiplier plays on SuperDraft.
Guard
Jordan Poole (1.65x)
What we know now is that the Warriors are resting their otherwise healthy key rotation pieces (Curry, Thompson, Wiggins). This is opening the door for big-time minutes and usage for multiple second-string players. The first guy you should consider is Poole, who has cooled off considerably from a fantasy standpoint since the return of Klay Thompson to the rotation. But with the usage he should see tonight, I’m prioritizing Poole on SuperDraft at the guard position. With those three aforementioned players off the court (plus Draymond Green, who remains out with his back issue), Poole has seen a massive usage increase of 9.1% and in his 233-minute sample size has a 34.1% usage rate. The Warriors are currently eight-point road underdogs, so there’s some increased chance of blowout risk. But it’s not nearly enough of a concern for me to shy away from how good Poole projects on this slate.
Brandon Williams (2x)
The Trail Blazers don’t have the worst record in the league, but the gas pedal is floored for their end-of-season tank job. Portland will be without at least eight players tonight as they welcome back Greg Brown and Elijah Hughes to the rotation but will see Anfernee Simons take a seat. Simons absence will likely hand the keys to the Trail Blazers backcourt to Williams, who is on a recently signed two-year, two-way contract. While he may not factor into the long-term plans for Portland, Williams is very much in play on this DFS slate. He’s averaged 0.95 SuperDraft points per minute in his 96 minutes with the team, and projects for a touch over 30 minutes here. I love Williams in tournaments at his 2x multiplier and I think he’s a fine cash play as well.
Forward
Luka Doncic (1x)
With all the value we have available, it’s going to be even more important to nail the “spend-up” options that we go to on this slate. My favorite way to go as of this writing is the Mavericks star guard. He’s been incredible as of late and seems to have played himself into top form after a rough start. Over his last 14 games Doncic is averaging just over 65 SuperDraft points per game and posting a 41.7% usage rate. Doncic hasn’t dipped below 33.2% usage in any of those 14 games and I don’t imagine that trend breaks tonight against the Jazz. Both teams are battling for playoff position in the Western Conference and the Mavs are currently 1.5-point favorites at home. In a close game with postseason seeding implications, we should expect a big performance from Doncic.
Drew Eubanks (1.85x)
Back to the Blazers from some more value, this time attacking the center position with forward eligibility. Eubanks has received the two highest minute totals in his career in his last three games (28.5 minutes). While he hasn’t broken a slate yet, he’s a solid fantasy producer that we should consider in GPPs tonight. Portland are huge 14.5-point underdogs on the road in Minnesota tonight. However, we just saw this matchup on Saturday and Eubanks posted 26 SuperDraft points in his 28.5 minutes. If he gets that kind of time again, he can absolutely exceed 30 SuperDraft points.
Trendon Watford (1.9x)
When it comes to Watford, I think he will be the more popular option of the two. Watford has posted 34.75 and 40 SuperDraft points over his last two games and has spent time at both the power forward and center spots for the Blazers. His minutes upside is greater than Eubanks and I prefer Watford in cash games. There’s an argument in GPPs not only to go Eubanks over Watford for ownership. That being said, I don’t think it’s crazy to pair the two especially if you’re running multiple lineups.
Center
Nikola Jokic (1x)
He’s averaging just a touch under 60 SuperDraft points per game this season. Additionally, he is coming off a massive 98 fantasy point outing yesterday against the Pelicans. I’ve seen a little speculation in various corners of the DFS world wondering if Jokic could possibly take a seat here. While I don’t think this is actually going to happen, there is still extreme safety in rostering Jokic regardless of his status. You can always swap to his back up DeMarcus Cousins, who put the hammer down on Houston (57.75 SuperDraft points) last week when Jokic sat out with an illness. At his 1.75x price tag Cousins would be an automatic lock in my lineups if Jokic did sit. So, it’s more accurate to just say my center priority tonight is the Denver starting center.
