SuperDraft is one of the hottest platforms in the market for DFS players. SuperDraft offers a unique twist on your traditional DFS experience with game modes like “Multiplier” and “Super 15.”
This article will focus on daily plays from SuperDraft’s exclusive Multiplier game mode. By eliminating the traditional salary cap structure and providing a points multiplier for every player on the slate, there is almost limitless flexibility when building lineups on SuperDraft. You can load up on all the studs, but their point multipliers will be low. You can balance those plays out with some long shots that could score up to 2x their fantasy points to vault you to the top of the leaderboards.
As always with NBA DFS, make sure that you are on top of any late breaking injury news and starting lineup changes. With eleven games on tonight’s NBA slate, let’s get into some of the Multiplier plays on SuperDraft.
Guard
Kyrie Irving (1.2x)
After not playing for the last eight days, it’s a sure bet that Kyrie will come into tonight’s matchup against the Grizzlies with some fresh legs. In his last game he dropped 60 points on the Orlando Magic. Even without Ja Morant, this Memphis team is much stouter defensively than the looks Irving saw against the team with the worst record in the Eastern conference last Tuesday night. But I’m not so sure we should be concerned with any matchup for Irving right now, especially given his 1.2x multiplier. He’s put up some monster performances in the few games he’s been eligible to play in since the All-Star break, including 70.25 SuperDraft points against the Hornets and 56.25 against the Bucks. He’s averaged 60.7 SuperDraft points over his last five games and he’s one of my favorite plays at the guard position on this large slate.
Tyus Jones (2x)
I mentioned that Ja Morant would be absent again for Memphis tonight against the Nets and that brings Jones back into our lives for DFS. He’s still sitting at the multiplier ceiling and just posted 31.25 SuperDraft points against the Rockets without Morant in the lineup last time out. Jones has averaged 0.98 SuperDraft points per minute this season in his 64 appearances for the Grizzlies, and in 16 games with Morant out of the lineup he’s averaged 30.2 minutes per game. We should expect him to play into the low 30’s in minutes against the Nets tonight and with the Grizzlies currently sitting as 1.5-point home underdogs in the game with the highest implied total on the slate, we have to pay him some attention. I’m more apt to roster him in GPPs tonight than in cash, but I think he’s viable in any format with the 2x multiplier.
Forward
Joel Embiid (1x)
Embiid and Harden should both be returning tonight after sitting Monday. The 76ers take on the Lakers in their matchup tonight. Both teams are in need of a victory, and the visiting 76ers are currently 7.5-point road favorites. The Lakers aren’t good defensively as a team, nor are they tough at any one position with A.D. still out. With the fractured frontcourt the Lakers are currently running out, Embiid should feast in this one. His continued forward eligibility on SuperDraft makes him an even more versatile fantasy asset. Embiid has averaged 1.7 SuperDraft points per minute this season and has posted 60.4 SuperDraft points per game over his last five outings, including a disappointing 46.75 in the loss to the Raptors on Sunday. He’s a priority for me in cash and GPPs as things stand now with news and value at forward.
RJ Barrett (1.35x)
We’ll run it back tonight. Barrett was a priority on Tuesday’s shorter slate with Randle missing the game with a quad issue. Randle is listed as doubtful once again for tonight, making Barrett the primary option on the offensive end for the Knicks. As good as Barrett’s fantasy output was last night (53.73 SuperDraft points), it could have been completely slate breaking if he could have hit a few more shots. Barrett was a mediocre 9/25 from the floor and 11/17 from the free throw line while playing over 41 minutes in the six-point loss. As long as coach Tom Thibodeau stays on brand, we should expect another 40 minutes from Barrett against the Hornets tonight and with his massive 35% usage rate in games without Randle this season, Barrett is a priority for me tonight. I’m fine to play him at guard or forward, whichever fits your build preference.
Center
Damian Jones (2x)
The six-year journeyman center is expected to get the start tonight for Sacramento, who appear to be shutting down both De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis for the rest of the regular season. With Holmes remaining out for personal reasons, we must have interest in Jones at the ceiling 2x multiplier. Jones has averaged 1.03 SuperDraft points per minute in 47 appearances this season. He’s started six games this year and averages 24 minutes per game in those starts. That number is artificially low given his eight-minute showing against the Nuggets back on January 7th, so Jones is averaging 27.2 minutes per start in the other five. With a minutes projection in the upper 20’s, the phenomenal matchup against the Pacers sieve of a frontcourt and the 234 implied total in this game, Jones is by far my favorite GPP center.
