SuperDraft is one of the hottest platforms in the market for DFS players. SuperDraft offers a unique twist on your traditional DFS experience with game modes like “Multiplier” and “Super 15.”
This article will focus on daily plays from SuperDraft’s exclusive Multiplier game mode. By eliminating the traditional salary cap structure and providing a points multiplier for every player on the slate, there is almost limitless flexibility when building lineups on SuperDraft. You can load up on all the studs, but their point multipliers will be low. You can balance those plays out with some long shots that could score up to 2x their fantasy points to vault you to the top of the leaderboards.
As always with NBA DFS, make sure that you are on top of any late breaking injury news and starting lineup changes. With eight games on tonight’s NBA slate, let’s get into some of the Multiplier plays on SuperDraft.
Guard
De’Aaron Fox (1.25x)
After a disappointing first four months of the season for Fox, the departure of former backcourt mate Tyrese Haliburton and swingman Buddy Hield has opened the fantasy opportunity for the Kings point guard. With all of the traded players and Terence Davis (who is still injured) off the floor this season, Fox has seen a 30.9% usage rate, a 2.3% increase on his full-season numbers. He’s averaging 44.4 SuperDraft points per game over his last nine outings. The matchup tonight against the Pelicans is not just the highest implied total on the slate, but an important game for the Kings who are trying to sneak into the play-in games with the Pelicans just a few games ahead of them in the standings. We should expect full run from Fox here and I like him a lot with his 1.25x multiplier.
Cameron Payne (1.75x)
After multiple weeks with no players of note being put onto the COVID list, we were hit with a big piece of news this morning when Devin Booker was placed into the health and safety protocols. With Chris Paul also out for most of the remainder of the regular season, there’s a ton of usage to go around for the Suns that are left healthy. One of those Phoenix players is Cameron Payne, who is coming off a sprained wrist. Because a wrist injury shouldn’t have much effect on a player’s ability to keep his conditioning, I have a decent level of confidence that Payne could see starters level minutes in this one. I have some serious interest in GPPs at his 1.75x multiplier. I would not be looking to roster Payne in any cash game scenario on this slate.
Forward
Giannis Antetokounmpo (1x)
Hands down the best game on the slate to watch from a real basketball standpoint, Milwaukee and Miami will write the next chapter of this heated (no pun intended) rivalry tonight. I’m going right back to the reigning NBA Finals MVP in this matchup, and I prefer him to Joel Embiid if you’re having to choose between the two 1x forward options. As we discussed on Monday, Giannis has only posted less than 53.25 SuperDraft points once in his last nine games, and he continued that streak on Monday against the Hornets with a 71.5 SuperDraft point performance. That marks six outings in his last ten games with more than 66.5 SuperDraft points, and with the Bucks sitting as 4.5-point home favorites as of this writing I think we’re going to see another 60+ SuperDraft points tonight from Giannis.
Drew Eubanks (1.85x)
The recent Blazers signee hasn’t been consistent from a fantasy standpoint since joining Portland, but he showed a bit of the upside that we are chasing by rostering him in the last game against Denver. Eubanks played 28.5 minutes in that game and believe it or not that was his career high through 150 NBA appearances. If coach Chauncey Billups is willing to run Eubanks for near 30 minutes, he must be on our GPP radar. The Suns will likely run a true center for all 48 minutes, with a rotation of DeAndre Ayton, JaVale McGee and Bismack Biyombo, which should keep the minutes floor on Eubanks high. We’ll want to confirm he gets the start before the game tips off, and if he ends up coming off the bench then I would direct swap to Cameron Johnson on the shorthanded Phoenix roster at the same multiplier.
Center
Nikola Jokic (1x)
After multiple articles without the reigning NBA MVP occupying his typical spot in the write up, all is right with the world today with Jokic back on the menu. The Nuggets take on the Oklahoma City Thunder, who have become an elite matchup to target with the center position over the course of the season. Denver are massive 14.5-point home favorites in this one, but Jokic will either play full minutes or be the main reason this game blows out. He’s averaging just under 60 SuperDraft points per game this season and we should expect an output at least in that range tonight. He’s been in great form recently as well, averaging 1.77 SuperDraft points per minute across his last seven games. He would be the first player into my cash game lineups and I’d need a lot of persuading to not do the same in GPPs.
