SuperDraft is one of the hottest platforms in the market for DFS players. SuperDraft offers a unique twist on your traditional DFS experience with game modes like “Multiplier” and “Super 15.”
This article will focus on daily plays from SuperDraft’s exclusive Multiplier game mode. By eliminating the traditional salary cap structure and providing a points multiplier for every player on the slate, there is almost limitless flexibility when building lineups on SuperDraft. You can load up on all the studs, but their point multipliers will be low. You can balance those plays out with some long shots that could score up to 2x their fantasy points to vault you to the top of the leaderboards.
As always with NBA DFS, make sure that you are on top of any late-breaking injury news and starting lineup changes. With five games on tonight’s NBA slate, let’s get into some of the Multiplier plays on SuperDraft.
Guard
Luka Doncic (1x)
As of this writing we’ve got some limited options for high multiplier values, and as things stand, I’m focused on getting multiple studs into my SuperDraft lineups. Doncic is my priority play at the guard spot, and he’s been elevating his fantasy output over the last few weeks with Tim Hardaway Jr. out and Kristaps Porzingis traded. It’s not surprising to see Luka absolutely crushing with those two off the floor, as we’ve seen his usage rate spike to an elite 40.5%. Over his last nine games Doncic is averaging 66.2 SuperDraft points per game and the matchup against the Pelicans tonight should do nothing to discourage us from playing the young phenom. You can utilize his forward eligibility if more guard value opens up before lock, but for now Doncic makes the most sense in a guard spot.
Reggie Jackson (1.6x)
One elevated multiplier that makes a lot of sense at the guard position this evening is the Clippers point guard, who has found more fantasy success of late with Norman Powell sidelined with a foot fracture and the Clippers remaining more competitive in their recent games. The Clippers have the highest implied team total on the slate and are 10.5-point home favorites against the hapless Rockets. With the Clippers needing to win (given their lack of draft picks) we should expect full minutes from Jackson in this one. The point guard has sported a 30.6% usage rate (and increase of 2.9%) with Paul George, Eric Bledsoe and Norman Powell off the court this season. At his 1.6x multiplier he would make my first lineup on SuperDraft.
Forward
Bam Adebayo (1.2x)
If you haven’t been targeting centers against the Hornets this season, better late than never. Adebayo gets one of the best positional matchups in the NBA tonight and has already smashed this Hornets frontcourt in their two previous meetings this season, averaging 55.6 SuperDraft points per game. With Dewayne Dedmon still sidelined, we should see a minutes floor in the mid 30’s. The Heat are currently 5-point road favorites in a game with the second-highest implied total on the slate, so there’s no issue getting to any of the Heat starters and I’m fine if you want to run more than one of them in a lineup. Adebayo is by far my priority on this Heat team with his forward and center eligibility.
Kyle Kuzma (1.25x)
The Wizards will continue to be shorthanded tonight in a matchup against the Nets. Kuzma has taken the lead role for this team post-trade deadline and in the four games over that span is averaging 45.9 SuperDraft points per game with a 29.3% usage rate, 25.8% assist rate and 16.8% rebounding rate. The Wizards are on the second half of a back-to-back set, and we saw Kuzma put up a 9/27 shot ratio against the Pacers last night. So his 58.25 SuperDraft point performance could have been even bigger if he was efficient. That type of opportunity on the offensive end doesn’t come around very often for a 1.25x multiplier. Kuzma isn’t a must-have in one lineup with how many other studs there are at the position (Embiid, Giannis, Luka’s eligibility etc) but I would certainly be considering him in any format on SuperDraft tonight.
Center
Joel Embiid (1x)
With my love for Adebayo and the other studs at the position I mentioned above, it makes sense to roster Embiid at center tonight. He’s one of the leading candidates for MVP and for good reason. Embiid has a 38.7% usage rate this season and has averaged 64.9 SuperDraft points per game over his last 13 outings. My only concern with the play is the potential for a blowout. The Bucks are 6.5-point home favorites here and the 76ers have shown while they wait on James Harden to suit up, they might be subject to a beat down. Even in that 40-point loss to Boston on Tuesday though, Embiid put up 39.25 SuperDraft points in his 26 minutes on only three made shots. He’s individually unstoppable right now. If this game remains competitive until the final buzzer, we’re going to want his exposure.
