Tuesday presented us with one of the smallest NBA DFS slates of the season, holding only three total games. Because of the injury reports, it also ended up being a rather chalky slate with obvious value pieces.

Review

The Sixers being without Joel Embiid forced peoples’ hands on SuperDraft, as Andre Drummond’s 1.2x score multiplier was still viewed as one of the best values on the slate. There was also some other great value to take advantage of, including Paul Reed for 2x and Seth Curry for 1.75x. Between the two, Reed was a strong play as the starter, but Curry was ruled out before the game tipped off. The Sixers hung around for roughly 45 of the 48 minutes in their game against the Bucks, but ultimately ran out of gas on the second leg of their back-to-back and dropped the home game by a final score of 118 to 109. Because it stayed close, however, all of the value (minus Furkan Korkmaz) came away with nice returns.

The slate-breaking news came out after lock, as Bogdan Bogdanovic and De’Andre Hunter were both ruled out for the Hawks, thrusting Kevin Huerter into the starting lineup for a 2x multiplier. Leave it to a three-game NBA slate to see Huerter top 40 fantasy points before his multiplier, allowing him to finish with over 80 SuperDraft points and being a low-owned gem in winning lineups thanks to the timeliness of the news.

After all three favorites (Bucks, Jazz and Clippers) came away with wins Tuesday, let’s dive into how FTN’s top five picks, courtesy of Zac Graham, for SuperDraft DFS performed Tuesday.

Donovan Mitchell, Utah Jazz (1.2x score multiplier)

Mitchell had a rather average game by his standards, which is far above the baseline for a normal NBA player. His usage rate of over 35% on the season continued to lead to massive amounts of volume, as he ended with 27 points while tacking on five assists, a trio of rebounds, and a trio of steals. Given the value that steals hold (3 points) on SuperDraft, this was a nice boost for his bottom line.

The 1.2x multiplier turned his 46.1 points into 55.32 SuperDraft points, making him a rock-solid play on the Tuesday slate.

Seth Curry, Philadelphia 76ers (1.75x)

As noted above, Seth Curry was ruled OUT for the Sixers prior to tipoff.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks (1x)

1x multipliers are never a super appealing target on SuperDraft, but they tend to be necessities to anchor your lineups. This was again the case with Antetokounmpo on Tuesday. As alluded to, this game stayed close for nearly 48 minutes, which is the perfect script for a player like Antetokounmpo. He is often the first to hit the bench in a blowout. Even after a sluggish start, he was able to top 60 SuperDraft points.

Bobby Portis, Milwaukee Bucks (1.55x)

Starting for a second consecutive game, Portis’ 1.55x multiplier was an absolute steal. He continued to fill up the box score in his 30-plus minutes, posting a 19-point, 10-rebound double-double while adding a

pair of blocks, three assists and a steal for good measure. Finishing with 41.5 fantasy points, his 1.55x multiplier took him to 64.33 points. Portis was featured in most winning lineups.

Andre Drummond, Philadelphia 76ers (1.2x)

Similar to Portis, Drummond’s 1.2x multiplier was considered a steal as long as he starts for the absent Joel Embiid.

Even on the second leg of a back-to-back, Drummond logged 33 minutes en route to a 17-point, 20–rebound double-double. It marked the second game in a row where he’s hauled in at least 20 rebounds. Finishing with 61.8 SuperDraft points, Drummond was a staple in winning lineups as well, but likely would have been even in a dud given his insane level of ownership.
