We had a small three-game DFS slate on SuperDraft Thursday. Let’s take a look at our top suggested plays from the slate and see how they fared.
Kemba Walker, PG, New York Knicks (1.5x score multiplier)
Thursday night was a struggle for the Knicks, as they lost to the New Orleans Pelicans 102-91. Walker only logged 21 minutes, and for good reason, as his shot wasn’t falling — he went 1-of-5 from the field and 0-of-3 from three. He finished with just five points, two rebounds and two assists. The matchup was there for Walker, but the Knicks didn’t show up to play and had to play catchup in the fourth.
Steph Curry, PG, Golden State Warriors (1.05x)
The Warriors are going through some pains right now as they continue to struggle without Draymond Green. Thursday’s game was close as the Indiana Pacers won 121-117 in overtime. Curry once again led the pack, putting up 39 points with eight assists and five rebounds in 44 minutes of playing time. While his shots were falling, it just wasn’t enough to get the win in overtime at home.
Mitchell Robinson, C, New York Knicks (1.6x)
There was one bright spot for the Knicks Thursday, and it was Robinson. We saw in the data that centers feast on the Pelicans; Robinson did just that. He only recorded 17 points, but he also added on 15 rebounds, securing the double-double bonus. He didn’t add much anywhere else on the stat sheet beside one block. At the 1.6x score multiplier and on a small slate, Robinson crushed his expectations with the 1.6x multiplier.
Best Plays of The Slate
We had a couple of big men dominate the small slate. We covered what Mitchell Robinson did with his double-double performance, and Jonas Valanciunas went toe-to-toe with him. The New Orleans Pelicans center recorded 18 points with 10 rebounds to secure his double-double bonus also. He added on two assists, two blocks and a steal. Luka Doncic came close to a triple-double before his night ended. In 38 minutes, Doncic put up 28 points with eight assists and eight rebounds. He was pushed to the limit by Devin Booker, who also put up 28 points but with just six rebounds and five assists.
