With the seven-game SuperDraft slate concluding on Monday, let us recap our top plays and see how they did.
Top Plays
Donovan Mitchell, Utah Jazz (Shooting Guard | 1.15x Score Multiplier)
Donovan Mitchell had another big scoring night, but his performance was overshadowed by the big man, Hassan Whiteside (21 points, 14 rebounds). Mitchell logged 37 minutes and finished with 31 points while adding four assists and three rebounds. He also added two steals but had four costly turnovers and five personal fouls on the night. The Utah Jazz had some bad luck, as they dropped the game to the Detroit Pistons 126-116.
Julius Randle, New York Knicks (Power Forward | 1.15x)
We expected the New York Knicks to dominate and walk away with a victory. They did impressively, winning 111-96. However, Julius Randle could not get his shot to drop. He went 1-for-7 from the field, finishing with just two points. He did, however, add 13 rebounds with three assists and one block. We were hoping for the double-double from the power forward, and sadly we did not get it.
Jarrett Allen, Cleveland Cavaliers (Center | 1.25x)
The double-double opportunity was met and expectations were exceeded! Jarrett Allen put up a monstrous game versus the Sacramento Kings, as the Cavs walked away with a 109-108 victory. Allen logged 31 minutes and put up a huge double-double. He finished the night with 18 points and 17 rebounds! We noted that the Kings do allow opposing forwards to average 18.7 rebounds per game and boy, did they not disappoint!
Best Plays of The Slate
We had some juicy performances, including our top play Jarrett Allen. Allen put up 18 points and almost duplicated that on the boards with 17 rebounds. Another big man took over the slate, however. Hassan Whiteside put up 21 points with 14 rebounds while adding three blocks and two steals in their loss to the Detroit Pistons. Another player who was active on the boards was Boston Celtics’ very own shooting guard, Jaylen Brown. In 44 minutes, Brown put up 26 points with 15 rebounds and six assists in an overtime thriller, as the Celtics defeated the Indiana Pacers 101-98.
