Champion Mode Explained

0

All of the contests we run on SuperDraft are very similar as far as scoring is concerned. The only difference is when a contest is played in Champion Mode. This concept can be a bit confusing so I am here to break down everything you need to know about champion mode!

What is Champion Mode?

Champion Mode is when a contest has one spot in your lineup that has the multiplier boosted by 50%. The other spots in the lineup are utility positions. This means that you can pick any players for all of the spots in your lineup regardless of the position they play.

Here are a couple screenshots to help explain this concept:

The only difference between these two screenshots is the first one shows the champion multipliers of the players. While the second one shows their normal multipliers. In this example, if you wanted to select Lebron James as your Champion, he would have a multiplier of 1.5X instead of 1X.

As far as those utility positions are concerned, you can pick anyone you want for those spots. You notice this is different from a non-champion mode contest in the NBA where you have to pick three guards, two forwards, and one center.

The last thing to note about Champion Mode is these contests will ALWAYS be when there is just one game involved. From a strategy perspective, finding the value play and putting him in your Champion slot is key. With a boosted multiplier, putting the right player at Champion can be a game-changer!
