There are seven games on the NHL DFS slate Tuesday, so there are plenty of strong options at SuperDraft. The slate gets underway at 7 p.m. ET. It’s more important than ever to keep an eye on news at this time of the season. We’ve seen several players get scratched late, so have a close eye on things. If you have any questions, reach out to me on Twitter at @chrismeaney.

Below you’ll see a few of my top plays at each position followed by a few others to consider at SuperDraft. Most of my attention will be on the Carolina Hurricanes, Minnesota Wild, Washington Capitals and Vegas Golden Knights. I believe the Montreal Canadiens and New Jersey Devils game is interesting despite both teams riding massive losing streaks. There have been at least nine goals scored in Montreal’s last four games and they’ve played to the over in 10 of their past 13 contests. Montreal has allowed 3.91 GA/60 (second most) and New Jersey has allowed 3.83 GA/60 (third most) at 5v5 since Dec. 22, according to Natural Stat Trick.

Center

Evgeny Kuznetsov, Washington Capitals vs. CBJ (1.9x score multiplier)

The Blue Jackets have a league-high 4.05 GA/60 at 5v5 since Dec. 26, and they rank inside the top five in high danger chances, scoring chances, shot attempts and shots on goal at 5v5/60 over that span. Kuznetsov enters on a three-game point streak (1 G, 4 PTS), and he has 10 shots on goal over that span. He’s put at least three pucks on the net in five of his past six games. Pair him up with Alex Ovechkin.

Others to consider: Sebastian Aho, Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, Sidney Crosby, Chandler Stephenson, Nicholas Suzuki, Vincent Trocheck, Nico Hischier

Winger

Kirill Kaprizov, Minnesota Wild @ WPG (2x)

Kaprizov is an absolute steal when you consider his 2x multiplier. The winger has 53 points in 40 games and 104 in 95 NHL games. His 53 points this season ranks eighth in the league, and he’s picked up at least one point in 14 straight games. He has at least two points in eight of those games. His matchup against the Winnipeg Jets is fantastic as they’ve coughed up a league-high 13.78 high danger chances since Paul Maurice stepped down Dec. 16. Kaprizov’s linemate Mats Zuccarello has at least two points in seven of his past eight games.

Tyler Toffoli, Montreal Canadiens vs. NJ (1.2x)

Toffoli has picked up four goals and eight points in seven games since returning to the lineup. He has four power play points over that span and one shorthanded point. He’s also had at least three shots on goal in six of those seven games. The Devils suffered their sixth straight loss last night as they allowed four goals in Ottawa. They rank third in the league in goals allowed at 5v5/60 since Dec. 26.

Others to consider: Alex Ovechkin, Max Pacioretty, Jonathan Marchessault, Andrei Svechnikov, Bryan Rust, Jake Guentzel, David Pastrnak, Jesper Bratt, Mats Zuccarello, Brock Boeser

Defense

Shea Theodore, Vegas Golden Knights @ EDM (1.2x)

I think it makes a lot of sense to have a defenseman with your stack. If you’re rocking the Hurricanes, play Tony DeAngelo. Have some exposure to John Carlson if you’re playing the Capitals. If you plan on playing Vegas’ No. 1 power play with Max Pacioretty or Mark Stone, consider Shea Theodore. The Golden Knights and the Oilers have a game total of 6.5 and Mike Smith will be making his first start since Jan. 5. He’s allowed 21 goals in his six starts this season (3.76 GAA & .898 SV%).

Others to consider: John Carlson, Tony DeAngelo, Jared Spurgeon, Evan Bouchard (if stacking Oilers), Kris Letang

Goalie

Thatcher Demko, Vancouver Canucks vs. ARI (1.55x)

Demko has a 9-4-1 record since Bruce Boudreau took over behind the bench in Vancouver. He’s perfect in his four games at home over that span, and he’s only surrendered five goals (one shutout). The Coyotes have 11 wins on the season (second fewest) and their 2.08 GF/60 at 5v5 is the fourth-lowest mark in the league, according to Natural Stat Trick.

Goalies to consider: Antti Raanta, Kaapo Kahkonen
