The NFL’s surprise Monday doubleheader is in the books for Week 15. Let us dive in and recap how our recommended DFS plays on SuperDraft fared.
Quarterback
Justin Fields, Chicago Bears (1.4x score multiplier)
The Bears’ struggles continued, as they took a loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Fields did his best with what was handed to him, completing 26 of his 39 passing attempts for 285 yards and one touchdown. He added 35 rushing yards also. Fields did have some struggles as he fumbled twice, losing one.
Running Back
Nick Chubb, Cleveland Browns (1x)
Chubb came in heavily rostered against the Las Vegas Raiders, which we all expected. While he didn’t dominate, he did what good chalk should have done: Find the end zone. Chubb finished with 23 carries for 91 rushing yards with a touchdown. He was handed that touchdown after a David Njoku score was called back. He had just one reception for two yards on his only target.
Wide Receiver
Hunter Renfrow, Las Vegas Raiders (1.2x)
We didn’t expect Renfrow to stay quiet during Monday’s game, but he was close to it. Renfrow finished with only 5 targets, behind both Zay Jones and Foster Moreau on the Raiders. He had three receptions for 32 receiving yards, breaking his three-game streak of 100-plus yards. The Raiders took a quick lead in the first half but were kept to just two field goals in the second half.
Tight End
David Njoku, Cleveland Browns (1.75x)
As mentioned above, Njoku had a touchdown taken from him due to an offensive penalty. He had five targets on the night, finishing with three receptions for 29 yards. Harrison Bryant was also used in the Browns’ offensive game plan, with two targets. He finished with two receptions and 11 receiving but also had the only receiving touchdown of the night.
Top Plays
There was no true slate-breaker Monday, but the chalk play of Nick Chubb did what he was supposed to do. Finishing with 91 rushing yards and a score, he was the best running back on the slate. Dalvin Cook came in at a close second with Josh Jacobs just behind. Even Justin Jefferson had a quiet day, with 47 receiving yards and a touchdown. Harrison Bryant was able to find the end zone at a low roster percentage. Even with his 11 receiving yards on two receptions, he was the leverage option off David Njoku and the other top tight ends.
