With the NBA back, every Tuesday I’ll be offering up my DFS picks on SuperDraft, which means every Wednesday I’ll be looking back on how I did and what we can learn from the picks.

It was a rather exciting night of games with the NBA season tipping off, so let’s take a look at how we did.

Our three plays were Giannis Antetokounmpo, James Harden and Jordan Poole. I am typically fairly tough on myself, but this was a case of just a bad night. Poole came up shy of 50, which wasn’t brutal by any means, but overall the opportunity cost you gave up by playing him and Harden who was just over 50 really put us a step behind the competition. Giannis was fantastic and despite not having an additional multiplier, nearly matched the likes of LeBron James, who was one of the top scorers of the night.

The two crucial plays I missed were 2x Pat Connaughton and Nemanja Bjelica. Connaughton produced 61 points while Bjelica led the slate at a whopping 77. The blinders were definitely on Tuesday as I ended up focusing too much on the top studs and forgot about some of the players with elite multiplier values.

Overall, it was a fairly rough night as none of my plays really led us to amazing lineups, although Giannis did end up being in the GPP winning lineup for the main contest, as did Harden who didn’t necessarily destroy us, but certainly didn’t help.

Check back next Tuesday as I will look to bounce back on a larger slate with some much better picks.
