The NFL’s Week 8 SuperDraft DFS slate is in the books and while we had some strong plays, there were a few disappointing and non-productive players. Let us review our Sunday plays and start preparing for Week 6 of the NFL.

Top Quarterbacks

Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams (1.1x score multiplier)

Stafford did what we expected him to do against a Houston Texans team. He put up 28.82 fantasy points while only holding 8.3% ownership. Stafford recorded 305 passing yards with three touchdowns which is almost becoming a normal thing for Stafford.

Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles (1.2x)

Somehow in a high-scoring game for the Eagles, Hurts wasn’t the biggest part of it. Boston Scott and Jordan Howard both found the end zone twice each. For Hurts, he recorded just 103 passing yards off nine completions while he rushed for 71 yards. Without being a part of the scoring via passing touchdowns or rushing, Hurts had a “disappointing” fantasy performance.

Top Running Backs

Joe Mixon, Cincinnati Bengals (1.35x)

Mixon was a part of the gamescript in a way we all thought of. He recorded one receiving touchdown off of 58 receiving yards while rushing for one touchdown off 33 rushing yards. The nice part is even with the hype surrounding this game, Mixon only held a 16.8% ownership. This Bengals offense keeps improving.

Najee Harris, Pittsburgh Steelers (1.4x)

Another solid performance by the rookie Harris. He finished the day with a rushing producing day as he went for 91 yards and 1 rushing touchdown. I expected Harris to be more involved in the passing game, but he only had three receptions for 29 receiving yards. Harris is a young running back that I will continue to run back to every week.

Top Wide Receivers

Cooper Kupp, Los Angeles Rams (1x)

This was a risky play as we knew it was just a 1x multiplier, but Kupp still produced once again. He recorded 115 receiving yards off seven receptions and one touchdown. Everyone did run to Kupp though as he held 34.6% ownership on the slate, but Kupp maintained his consistent play which he has done all season long.

A.J. Brown, Tennessee Titans (1.4x)

There were fireworks in the Tennessee Titans and Indianapolis Colts game with a combined score of 65 points. Brown had an amazing game as he went for 155 receiving yards off 10 receptions with one touchdown. He was the only weapon Ryan Tannehill had and for Derrick Henry, he was on the less productive end as he only rushed for 68 yards with no touchdowns but was battling an injury during the entire game, which may have ended his season.

Top Tight Ends

Tyler Higbee, Los Angeles Rams (1.35x)

Higbee’s bad streak continues as he had an unproductive game against the Texans. He was only able to put 25 receiving yards off three receptions versus the fourth worst defense against his position. It was Cooper Kupp day once again, and Van Jefferson was the one who tagged along for the performance.

Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia Eagles (1.05x)

Goedert wasn’t able to find the end zone Sunday, but he still put up a decent performance in a game where the running backs shined versus Detroit. He put up 72 receiving yards off six receptions. So far, Goedert has been utilized how we expected him to be with no Zach Ertz in the offense.
