Week 13 of the NFL season is wrapping up, and we had a nice 11-game Sunday main DFS slate. Now it’s time to recap our top plays to see who succeeded and who didn’t.
Quarterbacks
Derek Carr, Las Vegas Raiders (1.3x score multiplier)
The chalk Las Vegas Raiders did not show up to pay off their multipliers. Carr wasn’t able to find the end zone, finishing with just 249 passing yards on 28 completions (38 attempts). It was a disappointing follow-up to a big Thanksgiving performance.
Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers (1.25x)
Herbert showed up for the Los Angeles Chargers Sunday. He put on a stellar performance against the Cincinnati Bengals with 317 yards, 3 touchdowns and an interception. He was able to connect with Keenan Allen for two touchdowns and Jalen Guyton for one in the 41-22 victory.
Running Backs
Jonathan Taylor, Indianapolis Colts (1.1x)
The Colts repeated their dominant Week 6 performance against the Texans but one-upped it by shutting out Houston 31-0. Taylor had yet another multi-score performance. He rushed for 143 yards on 32 carries, scoring twice. Taylor is putting on his best Derrick Henry performance but taking it to another level to continue this dominating streak for the Colts.
Joe Mixon, Cincinnati Bengals (1.2x)
Even though the Cincinnati Bengals got dismantled, Mixon at least found the end zone. He carried the ball 19 times for 54 rushing yards — we expected more from him on the ground, which we didn’t get, but Mixon has now extended his touchdown streak to nine straight games.
Wide Receivers
Michael Pittman, Indianapolis Colts (1.45x)
Pittman topped 100 scrimmage yards (77 through the air, 33 on the ground), but he wasn’t able to find the end zone. It may be tough to play any Indianapolis Colts players who aren’t named Jonathan Taylor.
Brandon Aiyuk, San Francisco 49ers (1.45x)
What a wild game between the 49ers and Seahawks. We expected Aiyuk to have a huge boost with Deebo Samuel out, but George Kittle was the one who took over that spotlight. Aiyuk finished the day with just three receptions for 55 scoreless yards.
Tight Ends
George Kittle, San Francisco 49ers (1.5x)
Kittle became a huge factor for the 49ers Sunday. He scored twice against Seattle to get to five on the season, and he finished Week 13 as the top fantasy tight end with 181 receiving yards and those two touchdowns off of nine receptions. The multiplier of 1.5x was a high one; he’s scored in all but one game since returning from injury.
Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons (1.25x)
What seemed to be a strong first half for the Atlanta Falcons quickly turned quiet. After putting 17 points in the first two quarters, the Falcons were shut out completely in the second half. Pitts was carrying some momentum to be a great play but finished with just four receptions for 48 receiving yards. He once again was kept out of the end zone, but his ceiling still offers promise.
