The Week 11 Monday Night Football contest features the 6-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers as 11-point home favorites against the 3-6 New York Giants. This one has a 49.5-point over/under and the Bucs’ implied betting total is slightly above 30 points. The Giants are fresh off their bye week and are expected to have workhorse running back Saquon Barkley active. There is also a high likelihood of Bucs’ veteran tight end Rob Gronkowski returning to action tonight. Gronk has played just five snaps since Week 3 as he dealt with ribs and back injuries. If Gronkowski does suit up, he may be on a limited snap count.
Top Plays
Leonard Fournette, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1.75x multiplier score)
Fournette is live and arguably the strongest play, given projected gamescript, where the Bucs should be playing with a lead. He is the Bucs’ primary back, handling 68.7% of carries and has been active as a pass-catcher as well (seventh in targets — 48 — and seventh in receptions — 38). The Giants allows the seventh-most SuperDraft points to running backs (24.6) and (sticking with the theme of seven), are tied for the seventh-most yards per carry allowed (4.5). Lucky sevens are up as we roll with Fournette as a key piece of our lineup builds.
Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1.5x)
One of our weekly fantasy conundrums is deciding between the two stud Tampa wideouts, each of whom sprinkles the box scores in different ways. Much more of a possession receiver best suited in full PPR formats, Chris Godwin leads his team in targets (77), receptions (57) and receiving yards (717). Evans is the more impactful paydirt monster with three seasons of 12-plus receiving touchdowns and he currently ranks second behind only Cooper Kupp in touchdowns this season (Kupp 10, Evans 9). Evans gets a slightly tougher draw with Giants’ perimeter corners James Bradberry and Adoree’ Jackson than Godwin does with Darnay Holmes. But Evans still boasts a massive size advantage over both defenders and is this slate’s best bet for a multiple-TD outing.
Kenny Golladay, New York Giants (1.75x)
It’s time for Kenny G to get back into fantasy relevancy and there is no better spot to do it than against a beaten-up Tampa Bay secondary. The Bucs are essentially playing second-stringers there with Carlton Davis, Richard Sherman and Sean Murphy-Bunting all on IR. The 28-year-old Golladay has played just five games this season, exceeding 65 receiving yards only once and has yet to score a touchdown in a Giants’ uniform. For many reasons, he has fallen from fantasy grace and will likely be overlooked this evening with rookie Kadarius Toney (1.85x) landing into more lineup builds than Golladay. In a game script where Giants’ QB Daniel Jones should be airing it out, consider jumping on the Golladay train before it leaves the station.
