SuperDraft is one of the hottest platforms in the market for DFS players. SuperDraft offers a unique twist on your traditional DFS experience with game modes like “Multiplier” and “Super 15.”
This article will focus on daily plays from SuperDraft’s exclusive Multiplier game mode. By eliminating the traditional salary cap structure and providing a points multiplier for every player on the slate, there is almost limitless flexibility when building lineups on SuperDraft. You can load up on all the studs, but their point multipliers will be low. You can balance those plays out with some long shots that could score up to 2x their fantasy points to vault you to the top of the leaderboards.
As always with NBA DFS, make sure that you are on top of any late breaking injury news and starting lineup changes. With nine games on tonight’s NBA slate, let’s get into some of the Multiplier plays on SuperDraft.
Guard
Luka Doncic (1x)
Luka was the hottest fantasy asset in the league going into the All-Star break. In the ten games leading up to the break, Doncic averaged 67.9 SuperDraft points per game while sporting a 41.8% usage rate. While less consequential for our purposes considering Kristaps Porzingis was already out before the move, Luka’s shot volume also elevated after the trade deadline, averaging 28.3 shot attempts in the four games after Dallas. The Mavs get Utah as their first test out of the break and find themselves 5.5-point road underdogs. To keep this game competitive, we’ll need to see another herculean effort out of Doncic, which has been the norm for him of late. He’s a step above all the other plays near the 1x multiplier floor in my eyes as of this writing and is my clear priority if rostering someone in that range given his dual guard and forward eligibility.
Reggie Jackson (1.6x)
For the nightcap on this nine-game slate, we’ll get to see the third installment of the Battle for LA. Jackson and the Clippers won each of the first two meetings against the Lakers, but they’re currently 1.5-point underdogs in this one. Jackson went through a bit of a fantasy lull through December and the early part of January, but once new acquisition Norman Powell went down a few weeks ago, Jackson found his stride and the fantasy points followed. In the four games leading up to the All-Star break Jackson averaged 41 SuperDraft points per game on a 28.4% usage rate. We should expect more of the same in what’s expected to be a closely contested game tonight. As an additional cookie for Jackson, he’s already done quite well in the first two meetings with the Lakers this season, with scores of 35.5 and 50.5 SuperDraft points in those outings.
Forward
Wendell Carter Jr. (1.4x)
The Magic get a matchup with lowly Houston, who throttled their tank into high gear after shipping out a few pieces at the trade deadline. Orlando has the worst record in the league, but they have the highest implied team total on this slate. They also play a relatively stable rotation and have a lot more raw talent than Houston. Despite that, they’re only 4-point home favorites here, so we should expect full minutes from their core guys. Carter Jr. comes in as my favorite option. While he didn’t turn any heads before the break from a fantasy standpoint, his point-per-minute rates do standout to me. In the five games leading up to the break, Carter Jr. averaged 1.33 SuperDraft points per minute. The former lottery pick has averaged just a touch over 30 minutes per game in February, and projects as a great option at forward tonight.
Montrezl Harrell (1.55x)
Since arriving in Charlotte at the trade deadline, Harrell has come back from a fantasy perspective. The journeyman has seen his minutes load increase in each game, although that trend certainly will end tonight unless he somehow exceeds the 43 minutes he saw against Miami that went into overtime. Coach Borrego has shown a willingness not only to play Harrell and Plumlee together in that four-game sample, but he also went completely away from Plumlee in that final game in favor of Harrell. Harrell has averaged 1.03 SuperDraft points per minute in his four games with Charlotte, and we should expect to see him for around 30 minutes against Toronto tonight in a game that is expected to be close with the visiting Raptors favored by two. I like stacking up this spot with centers who have forward eligibility tonight and both Carter Jr. and Harrell fit that mold.
Center
Jakob Poeltl (1.4x)
I’m looking to the Spurs center for some upside against the Wizards tonight. San Antonio shipped out both Thad Young and Drew Eubanks at the deadline, the two primary backups for Poeltl. He’s not alone in this frontcourt as the Spurs still have Jock Landale and welcomed Zach Collins back from his lengthy injury just a few weeks ago. But Poeltl is still getting most of the minutes at center since the deadline, and this matchup against the Wizards is one of the best in the league for centers. Poeltl has averaged 39.7 SuperDraft points per game over his last nine, including a February 1st matchup against Golden State where he only played 12 minutes. I like rostering Poeltl in tournaments here at what should be fairly low ownership.
