SuperDraft is one of the hottest platforms in the market for DFS players. SuperDraft offers a unique twist on your traditional DFS experience with game modes like “Multiplier” and “Super 15.”
This daily article will focus on daily value plays from SuperDraft’s exclusive Multiplier game mode. By eliminating the traditional salary cap structure and providing a points multiplier for every player on the slate, there is almost limitless flexibility when building lineups on SuperDraft. You can load up on all the studs, but their point multipliers will be low. You can balance those plays out with some long shots that could score up to 2x their fantasy points to vault you to the top of the leaderboards.
With nine games on tonight’s NBA slate, let’s get into some of the Multiplier plays on SuperDraft.
Guard
Klay Thompson (1.45x)
The Warriors haven’t been as deadly without Draymond Green in the lineup over the last few weeks, now sitting 4.5 games behind the Western Conference leading Warriors. But they’ve got the train back on the tracks in their recent games, and it’s no coincidence that the recent uptick is coinciding with Klay Thompson’s minutes limit being raised to near his career average. With Thompson finally having the green light to hit the 30-minute mark, his fantasy production has increased faster (38.9 SuperDraft points per game in his last four) than his multiplier has fallen on SuperDraft. At his 1.45x tag on this slate, Thompson is a priority in cash games for me as of this writing and a very intriguing option in tournaments (although I think the value options will expand at the position as the day goes on).
Coby White (1.65x)
Chicago’s sustained presence at the top of the Eastern Conference continues to surprise me. They’ve missed every important piece of their rotation for a sustained period throughout this season, yet they’re just a game back of the top spot in the East. The Bulls will continue to be without Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso, and now Zach Lavine will join them on the sidelines this evening. Those absences boost the remaining rotation pieces across the board, but at his elevated multiplier I have a lot of interest in White. The fantasy environment is attractive against the Spurs (currently the highest implied game total on the slate), and in close games recently White has played into the upper 30’s in minutes. They were already below league average, but Spurs should be even more susceptible to giving up fantasy points at the guard positions with the departure of Derrick White. Dejounte Murray is a fantastic individual defender, but the Spurs as a whole are a team to target with guards who profile like Coby White.
Forward
Domantas Sabonis (1.15x)
While there are plenty of palatable options to “spend-up” for at guard, as of this writing I prefer to do so at forward. The Kings shocked the NBA last week when they shipped out Tyrese Haliburton for Sabonis, and my thoughts about the real hoops implications of that trade aside, Sabonis is in a great fantasy spot against the Nets tonight. He’s already put up two nice stat lines since he arrived, averaging 19 points, 12.5 rebounds and 6 assists as a King. Tonight he sees a Brooklyn frontcourt that is essentially a mystery box of poor defenders (with the possible exception of Nic Claxton). Sabonis should have his way down low, and assuming he starts at center again and isn’t slid to the power forward spot by coach Alvin Gentry, I slightly prefer him to Pascal Siakam at the same multiplier. If no standout value opens up at the position before lock, I’m fine to pair those two.
Julius Randle (1.2x)
Staying in the low multiplier range here, the Knicks franchise player (like it or not Knicks fans, he is exactly that for now) has picked things up of late from a fantasy standpoint. While coach Tom Thibodeau’s maniacal style has caught up to him in the form of an RJ Barrett injury, Randle has not yet fallen victim to his massive minutes load. For our DFS purposes, that type of minutes load (38 minutes per game over his last six) is exactly what we are looking for. The production has been elite in that stretch, with Randle averaging 1.46 SuperDraft points per minute. The matchup is also elite tonight, with the Knicks in an unusual spot as double-digit home favorites against the lowly Thunder. With Barrett still out and Randle in top fantasy-form, he’s a priority for me on this slate.
Center
Nikola Jokic (1x)
No surprise here, when the reigning MVP is on a slate, he’s likely going to occupy this spot in the article. Jokic has been the best fantasy asset in the league this season and on a site like SuperDraft where we can only roster one center, it takes some standout value to bump him off the top spot at the position. Jokic averages over 60 SuperDraft points per game this season and has dropped below 53 SuperDraft points in a game just once since January 13th (a 15-game sample size). The Nuggets take on the Orlando Magic this evening in the elevation of their home court and are currently 11-point favorites. Jokic does absolutely everything for this team and he’s been having the same effect on our SuperDraft lineups all season. If I’m running one tournament lineup on SuperDraft tonight, I’m locking in the Joker and differentiating elsewhere.
