With the NBA back, every week I’ll be offering up my DFS picks on SuperDraft, and following that up the next day with a look back on how I did and what we can learn from the picks.

In this article, I’ll be recapping what happened last night and reviewing how the picks and plays did. It was a rather exciting night of games with the NBA season tipping-off so let’s take a look at how we did last night.

Recap

LaMelo Ball

LaMelo Ball was back in the article Wednesday and did not disappoint, finishing as the third-highest-scoring player on the slate after putting up 36 points and tacking on 9 assists and 5 rebounds. We mentioned how Ball has really been benefiting from the bonuses, and unfortunately he was just 1 assist shy of the double-double bonus, but he did hit 8 threes so he capitalized on the 3-point bonuses.

Caris LaVert

Caris LeVert was downright bad. I figured he would be safe for 30-plus minutes as he played 34 the game before and had Justin Holiday out Wednesday, but even with T.J. McConnell getting hurt, LeVert still only saw 28 minutes. He had another brutal shooting performance as he shot just 3-of-12 from the field.

Mo Bamba

Mo Bamba was very strange, as he got off to a pretty nice start but finished with just 25 SuperDraft points. He was only able to see 27 minutes and wasn’t very efficient during that time either.

The Winning Lineup

  • M. Brogdon – 71.80
  • T. Young – 72.45
  • L. Ball – 71.23
  • G. Antetokounmpo – 67.50
  • J. Tatum – 60.95
  • R. Holmes – 48.26
  • N. Jokic – 46.75

Summary

Overall, it was an extremely disappointing night for me on the main picks, as two of my top picks failed to reach a level of minutes that allowed them to succeed. LaMelo was a great pick, but going one for three is never going to cut it on the NBA streets. See you next week.
