4/6 NBA DFS Picks

SuperDraft is one of the hottest platforms in the market for DFS players. SuperDraft offers a unique twist on your traditional DFS experience with game modes like “Multiplier” and “Super 15.”

This article will focus on daily plays from SuperDraft’s exclusive Multiplier game mode. By eliminating the traditional salary cap structure and providing a points multiplier for every player on the slate, there is almost limitless flexibility when building lineups on SuperDraft. You can load up on all the studs, but their point multipliers will be low. You can balance those plays out with some long shots that could score up to 2x their fantasy points to vault you to the top of the leaderboards.

As always with NBA DFS, make sure that you are on top of any late breaking injury news and starting lineup changes. With six games on tonight’s NBA slate, let’s get into some of the Multiplier plays on SuperDraft.

Guard

Trae Young (1.05x)

The motivation of every team on each remaining regular season slate is key for NBA DFS. The Hawks are battling for seeding position in the Eastern conference play-in tournament, so they will be running out their regular rotation. Young has been on fire of late averaging 55 SuperDraft points per game over his last six outings. He’s posted a 34.6% usage rate and 1.61 SuperDraft points per minute over that span. The Hawks are 10.5-point favorites at home against the Wizards here and have the highest implied team total on the slate. There are some other all-star level players like Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving who are perfectly acceptable options in that multiplier range but Young takes my top spot with the extra 5% boost on his fantasy points.

Zavier Simpson (1.8x)

The Thunder have found new ways to tank over the last few years and they’re up to their old tricks again this week. Last night against Porland, Oklahoma City put a total seven players on the court over the course of the game, with two of them playing a combined 25 minutes, leaving 39 minutes or more for the other five. Simpson started at the point and played nearly 44 minutes. He was able to contribute across the box score in college and his season in the G-League, but not at an elite fantasy rate. Still, the massive minutes projection and matchup against the Jazz (who are resting multiple starters) should be enough for him to put up another solid score at his elevated price tag.

Forward

Obi Toppin (1.8x)

Toppin has averaged 33 minutes per game over his last two (since Julius Randle was ruled out for the remainder of the year) and has continued his stellar fantasy rates. On the season Toppin has produced 0.98 SuperDraft points per minute and he’s shown the ability to greatly exceed that this season in games that Randle has missed. It’s a tiny sample size, but we can see that from the last two games where Toppin recorded 1.09 SuperDraft points per minute and a 24% usage rate (up 3.2% from his full season rate), he could put up a monster performance in this scenario. The matchup against the Nets, who just gave up some big fantasy performances to multiple Houston Rockets last night, shouldn’t scare anyone from a fantasy perspective and I like Toppin in any format.

Jaylen Hoard (2x)

Back to the OKC tank here. Hoard was one of the five Thunder players who got massive minutes last night, and actually ended up leading the team with just over 45.5 minutes played. He picked up a massive 20/20 double-double in the process on his way to 63.75 SuperDraft points. Hoard is not a player who would wow us on a season long basis with his fantasy rates but in a similar fashion to Simpson, the minutes projection is too high for me to ignore, especially at this multiplier. Hoard is my favorite player from the Thunder to roster tonight on SuperDraft and would be the first player into my lineup.

Center

Olivier Sarr (1.8x)

I was initially going to write up Rudy Gobert at his 1.25x multiplier, but then the Jazz ruled out their starting frontcourt and I worry about Gobert’s minutes ceiling, even more than I did before that news. We’ll stick with the Thunder here instead and talk briefly about Sarr. He got 39 minutes last night against the Blazers and while he continues to be a below average fantasy asset in terms of his rates, it’s once again the minutes that can’t be denied. He looks like a great tournament option, but if I was running multiple lineups in GPPs I would mix in some shares of other centers like JaVale McGee (1.75x), Isaiah Hartenstein (1.85x) and Bismack Biyombo (2x).
