We have been blessed over the last two decades to watch some of the greatest quarterbacks ever lace it up every week. Guys like Tom Brady (the G.O.A.T.), Brett Farve, Peyton Manning, and now guys like Mahomes, Jackson, and Murray bring a new dynamic to the gridiron leader. The promise of strong weekly fantasy numbers and notoriety that comes with these players gives their name a premium on your fantasy sports sites.

There are many solid quarterbacks that fly under the radar from a fantasy perspective. Which of the following quarterback sleepers can provide you with an edge to win your daily fantasy football competitions?

Top Fantasy football QB Sleepers

Trevor Lawrence – Jacksonville Jaguars

Trevor Lawrence enters his rookie season after having what can be considered one of the top collegiate careers from any quarterback, ever in the modern era. In 3 years, Lawrence torched defenses for 10,098 yards, 90 touchdowns, and a 66.6% completion rate. Lawrence enters Jacksonville with an offensive unit that features James Robinson, DJ Chark Jr, and other solid options.

We will likely see his raw athletic ability take over. The 6’6 quarterback ran for 776 yards and 17 touchdowns while at Clemson. Assuming his receivers aren’t wide-open every play, Lawrence has the ability to make the game exciting with his feet. This presents value in his accuracy (only 17 interceptions in 3 years at Clemson) AND his athletic prowess. Don’t sleep on Lawrence. He will be a problem in Jacksonville with his new coach and new team.

Matt Ryan – Atlanta Falcons

Ryan, a former MVP, lost one of the greatest receivers in the game in the departure of Julio Jones. The former MVP is entering his 14th season and still has a few tricks up his sleeve.

Star rookie tight end Kyle Pitts will make this year even better for the veteran. Pitts joins an offensive arsenal that includes Calvin Ridley and Russell Gage who should all provide receiving options to help the highly decorated quarterback sleeper to put up some big numbers in your daily fantasy football lineups despite the absence of Jones.

Mathew Stafford – Los Angeles Rams

Stafford has spent the entirety of his career in Detroit and has consequently not received the love he deserves. As a starter, he went 74-90-1 which is a 16 below .500. We get it.

However, he also has a career 62.6% completion percentage and with offensive options like Robert Woods, Cooper Kupp, DeSean Jackson, and Tyler Higbee, Stafford has finally been blessed with options. A career passer rating of 89.9, Stafford and his new team have the stage set to make some big splashes in the National Football League this year, and your daily fantasy contests.

Stafford is someone to watch if you want a veteran quarterback with plenty of options to target.

Joe Burrow – Cincinnati Bengals

Burrow returns this year after an injury in Week 5 of his rookie season. In his short stint, he managed to throw for 2,688 yards and 13 touchdowns with a 65.3% completion percentage. During the off-season, the Bengals managed to secure Ja’marr Chase, former LSU teammate of Burrow. Chase adds to an underrated receiving unit that includes has Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd.

The Bengals are also seeing the return of starting running back Joe Mixon, who last year had 21 receptions, a number which Burrow will undoubtedly bolster. Keep in mind, barring his season-ending knee injury, this former first-rounder was one of the most exciting rookie quarterbacks to watch. We are expecting him to have a return to normalcy, and normalcy for Joe Burrow is excellence.

Trey Lance – San Francisco 49’ers

The San Francisco 49’ers made some big moves to slide up the draft boards and get Trey Lance at 3rd overall. This rookie is currently competing with Jimmy Garoppolo but it seems that Lance will inevitably take over at some point. Let’s check his college breakdown to see the value.

His only full season came in 2019 where Lance put up a 66.9% completion rate, with 2,786 passing yards, 28 touchdowns, and a 9.7 yards per attempt average. That’s just passing. On the ground, he is equally as threatening. In that same season Lance notched 1,100 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns with an average of 6.5 yards per carry. Lance provides IMMENSE upside as a passing threat and rushing threat. There will be no sleeping on this rookie once he takes over from Jimmy G.

Conclusion

You’re now primed to dominate the competition on SuperDraft if you use these sleeper QB’s to boost your lineup. Be sure to keep an eye on the NFL lobby on SuperDraft for regular-season contests!
