SuperDraft is one of the hottest platforms in the market for DFS players. SuperDraft offers a unique twist on your traditional DFS experience with game modes like “Multiplier” and “Super 15.”
This article will focus on daily plays from SuperDraft’s exclusive Multiplier game mode. By eliminating the traditional salary cap structure and providing a points multiplier for every player on the slate, there is almost limitless flexibility when building lineups on SuperDraft. You can load up on all the studs, but their point multipliers will be low. You can balance those plays out with some long shots that could score up to 2x their fantasy points to vault you to the top of the leaderboards.
As always with NBA DFS, make sure that you are on top of any late breaking injury news and starting lineup changes. With twelve games on tonight’s NBA slate, let’s get into some of the Multiplier plays on SuperDraft.
Guard
Caris LeVert (1.6x)
By the time lock rolls around tonight, the majority of this article has a decent chance of being obsolete. Such is late season NBA DFS, especially with 24 of the league’s 30 teams in action. As things stand now, LeVert looks like a solid option with upside at his 1.6x price tag. Motivation is a key factor as the season crawls to its conclusion, and the Cavs have a ton of it while trying to hold off the Hawks for the right to host a play-in game. LeVert has entered the starting lineup over the last six games and has played a ton (34.2 minutes per game) relative to his season averages. Included in that sample size was a 24-minute outing in a massive blowout loss and LeVert is averaging 36.1 minutes in the other five. LeVert has posted 0.99 SuperDraft points per minute over that span and if we get another 36 minutes from him against the Magic tonight, he is a very interesting tournament play. By the time lock hits, I don’t think LeVert will end up being a viable cash option.
Tre Jones (2x)
The Spurs also (apparently) have the motivation to make the play-in round and are very close to doing so after opening up a two-game lead over the Lakers, which is really more like three as they hold the tiebreaker over LA. Even though San Antonio is trying to win, they will continue to miss Dejounte Murray in this one due to a non-COVID illness that reportedly has caused him to lose 7-8 pounds over the last few days. Jones has filled in admirably when Murray has sat this season, averaging 12 points, 4 rebounds, 7 assists and a steal in those 11 games. The Spurs are nine-point underdogs on the road against the Nuggets tonight who are also battling for playoff seeding. Jones is coming off performances of 34.75 and 41.25 SuperDraft points, and we don’t even need him to be that good to be happy with rostering him tonight at his 2x multiplier. Jones is a cash priority for me as of this writing and likely going to remain a strong play regardless of other news breaking between now and lock.
Forward
Giannis Antetokounmpo (1x)
Again, by the time lock comes we may have so much value that it doesn’t make sense to go to any of the studs sitting at the 1x floor. But for now, my favorite option up top is the reigning NBA Finals MVP. The Bucks are making a final push to take over the top seed in the East from the Heat and although they’ve fallen back 2.5 games with four to go, that shouldn’t stop them from going all out tonight. Giannis is one of the safest NBA DFS assets there is and has only dipped below 54.75 SuperDraft points twice since February 11th. Through three matchups with Chicago this season Giannis is averaging 30 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 blocks and a steal in 35 minutes per game. With this game currently boasting a five-point spread in favor of the visiting Bucks and a 233.5 implied total, Antetokounmpo gets the nod for me over Joel Embiid at the position if I’m looking to roster one of the 1x options.
Aleksej Pokusevski (1.65x)
The Thunder have added a few 10-day contract players since we last saw them suit up, but I still feel that Pokusevski is a solid option with a high ceiling at his 1.65x multiplier. The long and lanky positional pocket knife has always been a productive fantasy player when given the time and that’s played out over the last handful of games. Pokusevski has averaged 1.10 SuperDraft points per minute over his last nine games and has played 32.1 minutes per game over that span. He’s coming off a triple double performance against the Suns in an astonishing win even as the Suns rested a few players and while I don’t expect him to hit that type of ceiling again tonight, it’s a great matchup against the equally tanking Blazers and Poku is an intriguing GPP option unless he somehow doesn’t get the starting nod.
Center
Alperen Sengun (1.75x)
I did it. We’re on a Jokic slate and he’s not occupying the center spot of the article! Before we move on, I do want to stress that he’s still an amazing play at his 1x floor multiplier and projects right alongside Sengun as of this writing. But I find a bit more appeal, especially in tournaments, in rostering the Rockets rookie center tonight. The former MVP of the Turkish League (and still just 19 years old as we speak) has been as advertised from both a real hoops and daily fantasy standpoint in his rookie season. He’s stepped into a starting role with Christian Wood out for the season and in the last three games is averaging 1.26 SuperDraft points per minute in 29 minutes per game. At his 1.75 multiplier in a matchup against the Nets I have a lot of interest in Sengun in both cash and GPPs, even as 17-point road underdogs. Brooklyn doesn’t have the frontcourt defense to slow Sengun’s fantasy production, and as long as coach Stephen Silas doesn’t break his tank commander role and limit Sengun’s minutes tonight, he should post a respectable fantasy score at worst with the upside to be the highest scoring center on SuperDraft on this slate. Other high multiplier centers to consider in GPPs include Damion Jones (1.8x) and Olivier Sarr (1.95x).
