SuperDraft is one of the hottest platforms in the market for DFS players. SuperDraft offers a unique twist on your traditional DFS experience with game modes like “Multiplier” and “Super 15.”
This article will focus on daily plays from SuperDraft’s exclusive Multiplier game mode. By eliminating the traditional salary cap structure and providing a points multiplier for every player on the slate, there is almost limitless flexibility when building lineups on SuperDraft. You can load up on all the studs, but their point multipliers will be low. You can balance those plays out with some long shots that could score up to 2x their fantasy points to vault you to the top of the leaderboards.
As always with NBA DFS, make sure that you are on top of any late breaking injury news and starting lineup changes. With twelve games on tonight’s NBA slate, let’s get into some of the Multiplier plays on SuperDraft.
Guard
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (1.15x)
The Thunder are big-time underdogs on the road. Gilgeous Alexander is playing full minutes regardless of the score right now, and with Lu Dort now out for the season and Josh Giddey, Ty Jerome, Mike Muscala, Derrick Favors, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl and Kenrich Williams also absent, his usage is nearly unmatched in the league over the last three weeks. SGA put up a massive 33 point, 14 assists, 8 rebounds, and 4 stock (steals + blocks) game last night and we should expect something similar here. Since the All-Star break, he leads the NBA in points scored and steals, and has a 36.6% usage rate in those seven games. Tre Mann is also ruled out of this game taking away another primary shot taker in this offense.
De’Aaron Fox (1.25x)
The Kings made a huge decision at the trade deadline to ship out sophomore guard Tyrese Haliburton in exchange for Domantas Sabonis. They have a 3-10 record since. My low blows at Sacramento aside, this team is still very much trying to make the play-in games and Sabonis has been suspended for tonight’s game for making contact with an official. That should open up even more usage for Fox who has picked things up fantasy-wise since Haliburton was sent packing. Fox has a 28% usage rate since Sabonis joined the team and that increases to 31% with Sabonis off the floor. The Kings take on the Nuggets at home tonight and are 4.5-point underdogs, but this game currently has the highest implied total of the 12 games on the slate. I’ll take Fox at a crowded guard position with his 1.25x multiplier and upgraded outlook with Sabonis sidelined tonight.
Forward
Giannis Antetokounmpo (1x)
The Bucks made mincemeat out of the Thunder last night and Giannis only had to play 27.5 minutes (en route to 37 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 stocks) on the front end of this back-to-back set. They take on the Hawks tonight in the friendly confines of the Fiserv Forum and are 4.5-point home favorites with the second highest implied team total on the slate. The only player in the league averaging more SuperDraft points per game this season is reigning league MVP Nikola Jokic (we’ll get to him shortly) and with the Joker only center eligible, Giannis is my favorite “spend-up” to roster on SuperDraft tonight (followed closely by Luka Doncic). He’s been playing mid-to-high 30’s in minutes in competitive games, and with this one expected to stay close he’s a priority for me with the way news has broken so far this morning.
Marvin Bagley (1.75x)
Isaiah Stewart will miss at least a week for the Pistons with a bone bruise in his knee, w which should open up minutes for Bagley. While that game against the Hawks did go into overtime, Bagley started the second half in place of Stewart and played 26 of the available 34 minutes after Stewart went down. Bagley put up a solid 19/10 double-double with some peripherals for good measure. He’s just under a SuperDraft point per minute player on the season, but that includes his thirty games with Sacramento this season. He’s been well over a point per minute player in his six appearances with Detroit thus far, and I think that’s more like what we can expect the rest of the regular season from Bagley on this new team. With his elevated multiplier I have a lot of interest in Bagley as long as he gets the start.
Center
Nikola Jokic (1x)
Even though I have Jokic in the center spot in the article, for most daily fantasy players any discussion on why he’s a great play tonight isn’t uncovering any actionable info that wasn’t already well known. He’s been on an even bigger tear than normal over the last few weeks and has posted a triple-double in four of his last five games. Now he takes on a Sacramento team that is without Domantas Sabonis. The remaining frontcourt options to defend Jokic are Damion Jones, Alex Len, Trey Lyles and Neemias Queta. None of those fellas have a prayer to slow down Jokic, and with this spread currently Denver favored by just 4.5, Jokic is my priority at center. Some other options I would have my eye on for GPPs or multiple lineup builds would be Robert Williams (1.35x), Jakob Poeltl (1.4x) and Damion Jones (2x) if he gets the start.
