We had a small two-game NBA DFS slate on SuperDraft Thursday. Let’s take a look at our top plays from the slate and see how they fared.
LeBron James, SF, Los Angeles Lakers (1x Score Multiplier)
James was ruled out prior to the slate starting Thursday. That did, however, give a boost to Anthony Davis, who was given the green light to play. Davis finished as a top play with 31 points, 12 rebounds and 1 assist. He added more on defense with four blocks and two steals.
Joel Embiid, C, Philadelphia 76ers (1x)
It was the battles of the bigs in the Lakers/76ers game. Embiid matched and almost outplayed Anthony Davis across the board. The 76ers walked away with a dominant 105-87 victory. Embiid was able to put up 26 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists in 35 minutes of playing time. He also added on two blocks and one steal of his own. The Philadelphia big man is making a strong case to be considered as MVP as there seems to be no slowing him down.
Furkan Korkmaz, SG, Philadelphia 76ers (1.8x)
Korkmaz was the heartbreak play of the night. He logged 32 minutes of playing time with very little action coming. He went 3-of-6 from the field and ended with just six points, three assists and one rebound. Every quarter went Philadelphia’s way, but Korkmaz just couldn’t make anything happen with it Thursday night.
Best Plays of The Slate
We already covered the two bigs, Anthony Davis and Joel Embiid. Both centers found their ways on the list of the top plays. One more big man made his way also: Karl-Anthony Towns. Towns did his best to keep the Minnesota Timberwolves in the game versus the Golden State Warriors. He ended with 31 points, 12 rebounds and six assists in 36 minutes of action. He did add on two steals on the defensive end also. Steph Curry also was able to make a splash Thursday for the Golden State Warriors. Curry has been in a slump but finished with 29 points, eight rebounds and six assists. It looked like he might flirt with a double-double but barely missed out.
