There are 10 games on the NHL DFS slate Thursday, so there are plenty of strong options at SuperDraft. Out of all the games, there are only three with a goal total of six. The Boston Bruins and Edmonton Oilers, Winnipeg Jets and Seattle Kraken, followed by the Minnesota Wild and San Jose Sharks. All three of those games have a goal total of six, and all three start after lock at 7 p.m. ET.
Below you’ll see a few of my top plays at each position followed by a few others to consider at SuperDraft. The Wild, Oilers and Jets have three of the fourth-highest team implied totals in the NHL tonight, so you can see why their games have a goal total of six.
Center
Patrice Bergeron, Boston Bruins @ EDM (1.45X score multiplier)
It’s hard to fade Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, even on a 10-game slate. I don’t suggest fading them completely, but don’t ignore the Bruins’ top line. They combined for 17 shots Wednesday against Vancouver, and Bergeron had nine of them. He scored the only goal for Boston, but this could be an up-tempo game and we could see six-plus goals in this contest.
Joe Pavelski, Dallas Stars @ LA (1.55X)
The center position is pretty weak, so I’ll pretty much stick to the BOS/EDM game, Trevor Zegras, Matt Duchene and Joe Pavelski. The Stars are playing the second half of a back-to-back, which is not ideal, but Dallas’ first line has been red hot of late. Pavelski leads Dallas with five goals and 11 points over the last two weeks and his line with Roope Hintz and Jason Robertson has 29 points over their past six games.

Winger
Alex DeBrincat, Chicago Blackhawks @ MTL (1.7X)
I really like Patrick Kane to break out against the Habs, but DeBrincat leads Chicago in goals (3) and shots (35), and his six points lead all forwards. He has points in four straight games and six over his last six. He’s put 18 shots on the net in his past four games and will get plenty of scoring chances tonight as Montreal has surrendered a league-high 35 shots per hour at 5v5 since Nov. 1. They’ve coughed up the third-most shot attempts during that span and things will only continue to get worse as they’re without several key forwards and defensemen in this matchup.
Kirill Kaprizov, Minnesota Wild @ SJ (2X)
Kaprizov and the Wild have one of the highest team implied totals on Thursday’s slate, so it’s pretty shocking to see a 2X multiplier next to the sophomore forward. Kaprizov’s 30 points are the sixth-most in the NHL and he leads all players with 12 points over the past two weeks. All 12 of his points have come over a current six-game point streak. He has four goals over that span, and he’s cleared 2.5 shots in seven of his past nine games. Minnesota has a league-high 3.82 GF/60 at 5v5 over the past five weeks. You can play Kaprizov by himself or you can pair him up with Ryan Hartman (volume shooter) or Mats Zuccarello
Sonny Milano, Anaheim Ducks @ CBJ (2X)
This play has only a little bit to do with the fact Milano has a date with his former team in Columbus. It has a lot to do with the play of Milano and the matchup at hand. I’m very interested in Trevor Zegras, Rickard Rakell and Sonny Molano. That line has a combined 38 shots and 19 points in their last four games. All four are riding a four-game point streak. Milano has a goal in three straight games, and he has seven points over this run. The Blue Jackets have allowed a league-high 3.59 GA/60 at 5v5 since November 1st. They also rank inside the top five in shot attempts, shots, high-danger chances and scoring chances at 5v5/60. Rakell has a 1.75X Multiplier and Zegras has a 2X multiplier.

Defense
Seth Jones, Chicago Blackhawks @ MTL (1.5X)
Picking on the Canadiens here again who only have seven regulars in their lineup from last year’s Stanley Cup Final berth. Jones is averaging 29 minutes per game over his past six contests and has seven points over that span. Montreal ranks among the leaders in penalties taken and they are near the bottom in penalty kill percentage.

Goalie
Connor Hellebuyck, Winnipeg Jets @ SEA (1.25X)
Hellebucyk wasn’t great in his last game, but he played a tough Carolina team. He’s in a better spot Thursday against Seattle and he checks-in with a solid .914 SV%. The Kraken have played much better of late as they have won five of their past eight games, but they’ve struggled to find offense. Overall, this is a team that has been held to two or fewer goals in 12 of their past 23 games.
