Week 12 of the NFL season already kicked off on Thanksgiving, but we still have a 10-game Sunday main slate to look forward to. Let’s dive in and see if we can identify the best SuperDraft DFS plays at every position.
Quarterbacks
Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles (1.1x score multiplier)
Hurts hit a cold fantasy streak in Weeks 8-10, but he turned it around in Week 11 with a 30.78-fantasy-point performance. Now he gets to face the New York Giants, who are currently giving up 21.2 fantasy points per game to the quarterback position. Hurts’ feet were the focus against the Saints, as he ran in three touchdowns. The Giants defense is currently ranked 27th in quarterback hits and 23rd in sacks, which gives Hurts more time in the pocket to make better decisions in the game.
Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers (1.3x)
I’m running it back with Newton again, as he is set up in another good matchup against the Miami Dolphins. In his first official start this season, Newton put up 189 passing yards off 21 completions with two touchdowns. Similar to Hurts, Newton also can break a defense with his feet as he was able to run one in for a score also. The Miami Dolphins are also giving up the sixth most fantasy points to the quarterback position with 21.8 per game.
Running Backs
James Robinson, Jacksonville Jaguars (1.35x)
Robinson is coming off a poor performance like the entire Jaguars offense but is in a great position to bounce back. He’ll be facing an Atlanta defense that is giving up the sixth-most fantasy points to the running back position with 24.7. Robinson leads the backfield in carries but does share a mixture of the targets with Carlos Hyde. As long as the Falcons play how they have been, the Jaguars should get a sizable lead to where they’ll be looking to kill the clock with Robinson.
Najee Harris, Pittsburgh Steelers (1.15x)
Setting up for a great matchup, the Steelers will be facing off versus their division-rival Bengals. It’s hard to pass up on Harris in almost any situation his rookie year, and this is one slate I want exposure to him on. He gets a Bengals defense that allows 23.6 fantasy points per game to the running back position and with Harris almost getting near the 15- to 20-touch mark, makes it even better. He hasn’t had a 20-fantasy-point outing since Oct. 17 against the Seahawks but has been tiptoeing that border. Harris has scored in seven of his 10 games and will be looking to get the touchdown streak back in full swing once again.
Wide Receivers
Chris Godwin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1.4x)
It’s time for the “pick your poison” game once again with the receiving group of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They will be facing the Indianapolis Colts, who currently give up 34.2 fantasy points to the wide receiver position, and Godwin has the best matchup, per our WR/CB matchup tool. Godwin is coming off of a mediocre game against the Giants, where he had just six receptions for 65 yards, but he was able to find the end zone at least once. While the targets have been split in a very productive offense, the main two targets have remained Godwin and Mike Evans. While we are going the Godwin route as a top play, playing Evans is not bad at all with a similar matchup but lining up across from Xavier Rhodes.
Brandin Cooks, Houston Texans (1.45x)
It’s hard to trust the Houston Texans, but Cooks is easy to notice. While the Texans have been a mess, they get to face the New York Jets who can be considered an even bigger mess. Cooks is the most targeted weapon on this offense as he has led the receiving group every single week this season, but the difficult part is that he has only found the end zone twice. With just two 100-receiving-yard games on the season, Cooks is risky to target but one receiver I’m willing to take this Sunday.
Tight Ends
Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia Eagles (1.15x)
With the departure of Zach Ertz, many expected Goedert to climb the rankings, but so far he has struggled. In the past five weeks he has only gone below five targets twice proving that he is getting the looks but not capitalizing on them. With a struggling New York Giants team, this is a perfect spot to play Goedert in a divisional game where he can succeed with the help of Jalen Hurts.
Pat Freiermuth, Pittsburgh Steelers (1.7x)
This is the most beautiful play, one to run to as Eric Ebron is out due to a knee injury, it makes Freiermuth the prime tight end. He doesn’t put up the most yards, but Ben Roethlisberger finds him in the red zone. He currently has four touchdowns in the past five weeks and is coming off a game with four receptions for 11 receiving yards and a score. It is his third-fewest receiving yards in a game this season but when he gets momentum, this man is hard to stop. He may also go overlooked due to his matchup with much better options up top, but I want the 1.7x multiplier.
