Guard

Damian Lillard (1.1x)

In a game that sets up to be the highest-scoring of the night, it’s hard to look in a different direction than the guy who’s taken 25 and 24 FGA’s, scoring 34 and 42 respectively in the first two games. He’s coming off a game where he shot 9 of 16 from 3 in a losing effort. As we’ve seen going back past playoff’s, Dame is not afraid to take every shot that counts, all while staying out of foul trouble and filling up the stat sheet. He’s got double-digit assists in both games and will likely need just a good performance to get the series lead back tonight. Look for Dame to take over in the highest projected game total of the night in the return to Portland for Game 3.

Forward

Giannis Antetokounmpo (1x)

The Bucks/Heat game total is just behind the Denver/Portland total in a game expecting a lot of points with Miami returning home to try and stay in the series. After getting a few minutes of rest in a Game 2 blowout, Vegas is projecting a much closer game 3 which would see Giannis on the court around his 36 to 40-minute normal playoff clip. The only player with a 1x multiplier tonight, through the first two games Giannis has been a monster in the box score, and it’s hard to imagine he’ll disappoint tonight. After going 1 for 10 from 3 so far this series, look for some regression to the mean tonight to his improved 30% shooting from behind the arc and expect him to be dominant late in any close game as he’s been in previous postseasons.

Center

Jusuf Nurkic (1.3x) – Looking away from Jokic at the 1.05 multiplier, Nurkic poses some real value here and a strong fade of consensus likely after foul trouble in Game 2 cut his night short. Look for him to return to the Game 1 form that was pivotal in getting the Blazers the win, where he was 7 of 10 from the field with double-digit rebounds and 5 assists. While no one can stop Jokic, look for Nurkic to see his playing time be in excess of 30-35 minutes if he can stay out of foul trouble and the game stays close down the stretch.
