When it comes to low owned NBA players demolishing slates, last week was absolutely off the charts. There were about 10 players who scored over 70 fantasy points who were less than 10% owned. The two biggest slate breakers showed out on Wednesday night as both guys scored over 100 fantasy points. One of those guys looked like the modern-day Bill Russell.

Clint Capela 1.3X vs Pistons (1/20/21)
27 points, 26 rebounds, 5 blocks, 106.6 FP, 8.7% owned

When Capela left Houston, there was some noise about how he would fade off a bit without being in an offense where James Harden was feeding him the ball. Capela has proven all of those people wrong as he had the best season of his career averaging 14.2 pts, 14.5 reb, and 2.3 blocks per game. Then when Cam Reddish and Gallinari missed 3 games this past week, Capela put up stats Hakeem Olujauwon in his prime would be proud of.

In that 3 game stretch, he averaged 25 points, 18.7 rebounds, and 4 blocks per game. The last one being this epic game he had against the Pistons. It is clear now that whenever there frontcourt players out for Atlanta, Capela is a must-start. Even if everyone is healthy, he is still making an impact where on a night with a favorable matchup he should get the call.

Collin Sexton 1.6X vs Nets (1/20/21)
42 points, 5 assists, 5 rebounds, 106 FP, 4.8% owned

Sexton was having a great season up to this point but it was still hard to see this explosion coming. This was the first time Irving, Durant, and Harden played together and Sexton was able to steal the show. He is now averaging 26.8 pts, 4.2 asts, and 42.4 FPPG. When you factor in his multiplier of 1.6X, this goes up to 67.8 FPPG. The level of consistency he has shown and the fact he is the clear #1 option on the Cavs should keep your attention on Sexton if he is anywhere close to 1.6X no matter who he plays.

As far as the Nets are concerned, they went from having a top 5 defense in the NBA in the first week of the season to now being ranked 20th in defensive efficiency. With Jarrett Allen gone, this new team of stars working on the chemistry, and Harden and Kyrie not being great defenders, I would expect Brooklyn to continue to struggle on defense. Keep an eye out for some good value plays against this Nets defense in the coming weeks.

Kendrick Nunn 1.85X vs Raptors (1/20/21)
28 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 84.17 FP, 0.8% owned

After Nunn was set aside in the bubble for Goran Dragic and Tyler Herro, it was easy to forget how good of a rookie season he had. He averaged 15.3 PPG and that number ticked up to 18.8 when he played in between 30-39 minutes. With Miami decimated with injuries and Covid issues, Nunn has had to play over 30 minutes in the last three games and he averaged 22.7 pts, 5.7 rebs, 4.3 asts, 2 steals, and 41.2 FPPG. With his 1.85X multiplier, this average goes up to 76.3 FPPG. Nunn deserves a lot more respect than he is getting and I would consider him against anyone at this multiplier.
